I want MY AMERICA BACK.

‘During the school year, no TV, no computers during the school week. Only on weekends,’ Michelle Obama told Women’s Health magazine’s October 2009 issue.

And with television kept to a weekend-only minimum, that leaves time for the family of four to share an evening meal.

‘Dad’s office is just downstairs, and it’s rare that we don’t have dinner together. No matter what’s going on, he sets aside that time,’ Michelle said of husband President Barack Obama. ‘Dinner time is at 6:30 PM, and he comes in, we sit down.’

You know who else denied their kids TV?

Mrs. Stalin.

    One thing my father instilled in our family was the absolute NECESSITY of eating together as a family. Things are learned,shared, and issues get addressed. I just didn’t know my dad was such a Commie! I want my TV dinners back!LOL

    How deseperate the right wing lunatics are getting and are you sure there was even television when Mrs Stalin was alive-grow up because the first lady has children who lead lives away from the television and are connecting with their family you call that socialist maybe you should get a clue or a dictionary.

    In my household, my husband and I insist on family dinners every night we’re at home. No TV (it’s in a separate room) and no computer until dinner’s over and homework is done. We don’t even allow TV/computer in the morning on school days.

    When my grades slipped in high school I was banned from TV during the school week. Now I know that I was basically raised in Castro’s Cuba.

    I don’t expect any better from the GOP. Half of them still own slaves, plantations and cotton fields. They can’t see beyond hate to guide America into the future. Damn shame.
