I would consider donating to a Republican; 60 seats haven’t done us a whole lot of good. I would prefer 52 seats with a real leader than 60 with this jurassic skidmark.

Is electing weak leaders the way that progressive Senators get to have their cake and eat it too – by posturing against lassitude and appeasement for the home town crowds while profiting from it under Reid’s lax leadership?

I think the man’s had his damn job too long, the goddamn weasel.

I agree, but I believe his son heads the Nevada Democratic party. I could be wrong there, though. So, even if we could get a Democrat to run against him – a good solid Democrat in the primary, he or she would, sadly, probably go down in flames, unable to find good financial backing for the campaign. (Or were you meaning a moderate Republican could take the seat? And lose the majority?)

But, man… there was a way to say it, this wasn’t the time or the way… Geeez…

Reid was a lot funnier when the GOP was in power and he was saying things like “I’m not going to get into a name-calling match with someone who has a nine percent approval rating.” Now he’s just painful.

In a perverse way, I sort of want Reid to lose his seat next year.

In a totally pragmatic and decent way, I definitely want Reid to lose his seat next year. Guy’s a whore. Not as bad as Daschle, but a whore nonetheless. Schumer would be an improvement, Durbin would be a vast improvement.
