Dear President Obama,
Tweet
If there’s even the slightest of chances you or anyone in your inner circle listens to this mushy mush “centrist” piss off everyone please nobody solve nothing nonsense from Bob Dole, I’ll probably jump off of a bridge.*
Love,
Oliver
* There’s no indication anyone in the White House cares one bit about this nonsense, but I just wanted this on the record should my body be found in the Potomac or Chesapeake.

Centrism and bipartisan are music to every lobbyist’s ears
Dole’s first point is that Obama ought to trash the existing bills (crafted by the idiotic Democratic leadership of Congress) and submit his own bill. What kind of “nonsense” is that? This is Obama’s big issue, he’s so damned intelligent, he’s spent years and years as a legislator — it shouldn’t take Dole to suggest that he (and his aides) write it.
J.
Republicans have different ideas but for the most part are positive about reform if the government has a minimal role. Democrats would eventually regret it if Republicans are forced to take a nearly party-line vote. Obama should get the credit if legislation passes but, more important, get the blame if final legislation draws only a few GOP votes and brings more taxes, more government and more spending .
Republicans will take a nearly party-line vote no matter what the final bill looks like. Dole is an idiot.
‘it shouldn’t take Dole to suggest that he (and his aides) write it.’
It may well come to that, but I believe the President is attempting to allow Congress to do its job of crafting the bill that he wants; if not, I’m sure the next phase of the process is for Obama to craft his own version, and then get it through without the support of the Republicans, who are on record as saying they will not vote for any HCR bill, and have even admitted that they won’t even READ the damn thing before rejecting it.
Your tax dollars at work folks.
the Republicans, who are on record as saying they will not vote for any HCR bill, and have even admitted that they won’t even READ the damn thing before rejecting it.
As opposed to the Democrats, who are lining up to vote for it after admitting THEY haven’t read it, either.
Your tax dollars at work folks.
So true.

As opposed to the Democrats, who are lining up to vote for it after admitting THEY haven’t read it, either.
Just a reminder.
Republicans will take a nearly party-line vote no matter what the final bill looks like. Dole is an idiot.
So true.
Bob Dole is still alive? Why?
‘As opposed to the Democrats, who are lining up to vote for it after admitting THEY haven’t read it, either.’
Plenty of Dems are SUPPORTING the legislation J; how many Republicans are doing so?
This is a point: ———–>
This is funk’s head: 0
Funk, you said a lot of Republicans were opposing the bill without reading it. I noted that a lot of Democrats supporting the bill have admitted they haven’t read it, either.
How many Republicans are supporting it without having read it? Huh?
Well, probably one or two of the ladies from Maine, I’d guess…
For an equally pointless question back, funk, how many Democrats are opposing it without having read it?
