Maurice Schwenkler Arrested For Attacking Democratic HQ In Denver, Not Connected To SEIU

Link

At least two people smashed windows bearing health-care reform posters at the Colorado Democratic headquarters in Denver in what party officials are calling an act of political vandalism.

Police say the windows were broken at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. A policeman on regular patrol witnessed two people smashing windows with hammers, stopped, then pursued the suspects as they fled on bicycles. The officer arrested 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler on suspicion of criminal mischief.

The other suspect was still at large Tuesday afternoon. There was no phone number listed for Schwenkler and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

State party Chairwoman Pat Waak says most of the 11 shattered windows were directly in front of posters supporting health care reform and President Barack Obama.

The conservative blogs are trying to say that this guy worked for the SEIU. He didn’t. The SEIU has done a check of their employment records and payroll – this guy wasn’t on them. He was apparently erroneously listed as being employed with an affiliated group.

This of course, doesn’t stop the Always Wrong Brigade from running the Drudge siren.

Republicans are factually impaired. Always have been since about 1865.

  2. jr says:

Has Glenn Beck blamed Van Jones for this?

  3. SaveFarris says:

    This is who they are.

“He was apparently erroneously listed as being employed with an affiliated group.”

Yeah, I’m sure that there are tons of people in Colorado named Maurice Schwenkler. It’s a very common name out west.

  5. Dennis says:

I wonder if Maurice Schwenkler posts on blogs as “Zython”.

That is, when he’s not pretending to be someone else.

  6. Indeed says:

I wonder if Maurice Schwenkler posts on blogs as “Zython”.

And I wonder if he’s a garden variety Right Wing douche-bag. I guess we may never know.

  7. Dennis says:

How many identities do you go by, Indeed/Mister ed? Just the two, or do you do the Zython/Maurice Schwenkler thing, too? You’re always so obsessed with these right-wing Eliminationist urban legends, I wonder if you don’t do some of the hoaxing for these stories, too.

And SaveFarris is absolutely correct, it is who you are. It’s how you roll.

  8. Indeed says:

You’re always so obsessed with these right-wing Eliminationist urban legends

    Examples, please.

By the way, care to make a wager on the political leanings of Mr. Schwenkler? I’ll go with Limbaugh-Hannity-Savage Republican (you know, a la Jim David Adkisson–or did was he Urban Legend?).

    I thought this

    http://www.ginandtacos.com/2009/08/24/tomorrows-losers/

    was interesting, if quasi-related.

  9. Dennis says:

Indeed, aren’t you going to post a quote up on the Ted Kennedy thread somewhat like the one you did on Robert Novak, that, “Like so many monsters, he was a Catholic.”?

    I mean, you’re being a fair-minded guy and all.

  10. Indeed says:

Indeed, aren’t you going to post a quote up on the Ted Kennedy thread somewhat like the one you did on Robert Novak, that, “Like so many monsters, he was a Catholic.”?

I’m going to get right on that just as soon as you can remind me of all those “right-wing Eliminationist urban legends” I’m “obsessed with.” I guess I’m waiting for a lot of answers from you.

Speaking of which, care to make that wager on Mr. Schwenkler’s political leanings? What’s the Smart Money on?

Regarding the Novak obit I clipped, I assumed you would click on the link and get some context. That’s not how you roll, I reckon. I regret the assumption. From now on I’ll figure you are a typical dim-witted Limbaugh-Hannity-Savage Republican why cannot process Hegelian dialects.

  12. Phil says:

And you’ll indeed lose that wager, “Indeed”. You are such a putz.

The guy was paid by a group calling themselves the Colorado Citizen’s Coalition for “Electioneering/Communications”. This was from last Oct-Nov. They have his name, address and SSI# on file. The CCC group travels in the same circles and co-sponsors events with the SEIU in Denver.

    http://www.peoplespresscollective.org/2009/08/colorado-democratic-party-hq-vandalized-dems-blame-hate-from-other-side/

So, now we just have to figure out if he was pissed at the CO Dems for not being aggressive enough on the topic or was trying to start a lie?

Let us all hope he and his buddy get the maximum sentence in fines and community service.

    –Indeed/Mister ed/Maurice Schwenkler

Well, Mister ed, for starters you can go up to the search box above on OW’s blog page and search for “Adkisson”, and then see how many threads pop up, almost all of them from either you as ‘Indeed’ going back to this past May, and the other ones from you as ‘ed’ prior to that when you decided to switch identities for some strange reason other than simply, strange people do strange things’.

That should be ample evidence for just how obsessed you are with Eliminationist urban legends. Should keep you busy for the rest of the day, too. Maybe even lower your diastolic a good 5 points or so.

If that’s not enough, type in “Poplawski” and see how many times that comes up and the number of times you as ‘ed’ posted on that guy.

    You’re obsessed, Indeed/ Mister ed.

  14. Indeed says:

And you’ll indeed lose that wager, “Indeed”.

We’ll see. I was just merely making the smart wager. Dude, I bought a new car with the cash I made on Jim David Adkisson. Easy money.

    You are such a putz.

Whoa there, Phil. There’s no need for name-calling. Please try to keep it classy. Thanks in advance.

  15. Lucas says:

    Suck a root dork!

Maurice is one of the liberal dimwits!

Write yourself a note: Need more krytonite!

  16. Ahem, excuse me... says:

Gee, even at DU, on the thread, they don’t buy into thinking he’s right-wing. In fact they’ve already pretty much established the opposite.
Thesis: he’s a dim-witted, right-wing loser that I can mock to make me look superior
    Anti-thesis: the reality
    Synthesis:you’re a douche

  17. Dennis says:

And you’ll indeed lose that wager, “Indeed”. You are such a putz.

He is a putz, Phil. I’d bet him if I thought there’d be a good chance he’d pay up, but there isn’t. Guys who post with multiple identities aren’t usually very trustworthy. Sock-puppetry seems to be germane to the wacky left for some reason.

  18. Indeed says:

And this makes Adkisson an “urban legend” because…why, exactly? Did Mr. Adkisson never exist? Is his Wiki completely made up? Are The Facts about his political leanings somehow amiss (e.g., was he a lib-Dem plant)? Do you know what “urban legend” means?

    Also, obsessed much?

  19. Mary Rosh says:

Sock-puppetry seems to be germane to the wacky left for some reason.

    Totally!

  20. Indeed says:

Sock-puppetry seems to be germane to the wacky left for some reason.

Huh? How am I a sock-puppet? For whom? J. Edgar Hoover? John Lott? O-Dub? Do you even know what that expression means?

  21. Dennis says:

Dude, I bought a new car with the cash I made on Jim David Adkisson. Easy money.

Ahh, so you’re also a liberal opportunist with blood on his hands.

    Very classy, indeed, Indeed.

This Niewert Eliminationist theory is quite intriguing to you, isn’t it? Why not at least buy his book with the money you’ve made off him.

  22. Repack Rider says:

I need a right winger to explain to me why a *purported* member would attack a Democratic HQ. Aren’t they on the same side?

  23. Indeed says:

I need a right winger to explain to me why a *purported* member would attack a Democratic HQ. Aren’t they on the same side?

They think there’s no way that any wingnut would ever ever ever do anything bad, so it has to be a plot by leftist whackjobs to pin it on the wingnuts–to make them look bad. See also Ashley Todd, Karl Rove (who once bugged his own office and claimed his client’s opponent did it), and some fire in Old Europe.

  24. Indeed says:

    Noted without comment:

    10:33 am:

Ahh, so you’re also a liberal opportunist with blood on his hands.

    and

    10:38 am:

I’d bet him if I thought there’d be a good chance he’d pay up

  25. Ahem, excuse me... says:

Really? You need an explanation? REALLY?

  26. Dennis says:

You offered to make a wager with me, Indeed. I passed because you are not trustworthy. That’s not opportunism.

Your being completely obsessed with eliminationist urban legend rhetoric and then bragging about making money off of a murderer is opportunism.

    And low-life to boot.

  27. Indeed says:

Your being completely obsessed with eliminationist urban legend rhetoric and then bragging about making money off of a murderer is opportunism.

    1. You still haven’t explained the “urban legend” part. You may wish to look up the definition of that expression.

    2. It was a joke, son. I was mocking Phil’s comment. Did you not get that one? But I guess that may be on me. After all, I quite recently vowed, “From now on I’ll figure you [i.e., "Dennis"] are a typical dim-witted Limbaugh-Hannity-Savage Republican why [sic] cannot process Hegelian dialects [sic].”

  28. Phil says:

But, Indeed, name calling is what you leftists do best!

Do you not want to remember who was throwing around the words “Nazi” and “Fascist” for the last eight years?

And Repack, thee is nothing “purported” about this case. The guy’s arrest is in the public record and we have his info, which matches up with payment records from the CCC. Only time will tell what other leftist groups he is affiliated with.

Oh, and Oliver, are you going to talk about the two Democrat bomb builders/throwers who got served yesterday? One in Texas and the other in Missouri.

First union thugs were beating up people and now a pair of leftist “true believers” conspire to commit a crime that the CO Dems immediately blamed, without a shred of evidence, on the Tea Party folks.

What a sad group you all are.

  29. Dennis says:

Indeed, you’re a sock-puppet who posts with multiple identities, so how is anyone supposed to know when you’re joking and when you aren’t?

And as to dim-witted, you weren’t even clever enough to hide your multiple-identity deception.

  30. Indeed says:

Indeed, you’re a sock-puppet who posts with multiple identities, so how is anyone supposed to know when you’re joking and when you aren’t?

Context! Whoops, forgot with whom I was dealing. What’s the definition of “sock-puppet’? Oh, and what’s the definition of “urban legend” (hint: check out Snopes!). And while I’m at it, what’s the definition of “astro-turf” (as related to phony political grass roots) and how is George Soros an astroturfer?

And as to dim-witted, you weren’t even clever enough to hide your multiple-identity deception.

You make it sound like I give a doo-doo/poo-poo/excrement/[I already done used "feces" in another comment].

  31. Indeed says:

But, Indeed, name calling is what you leftists do best!

    Phil, 10:25 am:

    You are such a putz.

Only time will tell what other leftist groups he is affiliated with.

So you’re suggesting this is an Ashley Todd Situation?

What a sad group you all are.

    The aforementioned Ashley Todd
    Jim David Adkisson
    Michael Savage
    Dennis
    etc.
    et al
    and what have you

  32. Indeed says:

Do you not want to remember who was throwing around the words “Nazi” and “Fascist” for the last eight years?

I most certainly do: Jonah Goldberg.

You can donate my winnings to Act Blue and/or Planned Parenthood and/or The Yellow Ribbon Fund. Thanks in advance.

Denver Vandal Worked for Dem Politician—Was Arrested at RNC Convention

The young vandal who smashed windows at the DNC headquarters in Denver on Tuesday worked for a democratic politician, was paid by a SEIU-related front group, and was arrested at the RNC convention last year in St. Paul.

Indeed/Mister ed, Zython, Dyron Hart, Maurice Schwenkler…..

    …It’s how they roll.

  34. Sean D. Martin says:

Dennis: I wonder if Maurice Schwenkler posts on blogs as “Zython”.

I”m loosing track of the number of posts I’ve seen recently from Dennis, Jay Tea, et al that start with “I suppose” or “I wonder” or something similar. “Wondering” about things seems to be about all wingnuts can do. It’s not like they ever have facts.

  35. Dennis says:

It’s not like they ever have facts.

Sean, you used to be one of the more reasonable posters on here, one who would stand up against the liberal groupthink if you thought they were wrong. But since you were bombarded by those folks for sticking up for Sgt Crowley and arguing that he was not being racist when he arrested Prf. Gates, which you were correct in doing, you’ve turned into just another one of them. Like you’re trying to get your street cred back herer.

Several of us have posted facts that indicate that the premise of this blog post, that Schwenkler was not connected to the SEIU, is false. Yet that premise remains in the headlines, with not one word on it in argument or agreement from you or any other liberals, or even Oliver.

    Where are your facts, Sean?

Or anyone else’s from the side you’re trying so desperately to get back in the good graces of?
