The folks over at The New Republic really think that the Republicans won’t do their worst to obstruct any possible health care reform because of public sentiment over the death of Sen. Kennedy.

Really?

I didn’t think anyone that naive was still following politics. The Republican party would knife their own children if it meant getting one percentage over the Democrats. They abandoned the “decency” thing a long time ago.

I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t knife their own children, but they’d knife other people’s.

I was talking to my daughter yesterday, who is a student in DC, and she said the same thing, that now health care reform could happen to memorialize Kennedy. Oh innocence of youth! I told her that the rethugs of today are shameless bigots and fear-mongers, and their comments about Kennedy are already proving me correct.
