Maybe he should. Since Panetta took over the CIA he seems to reflexively be defense of the agency’s past – possibly illegal -activities. At every turn he has opposed efforts by the White House and Congress to uncover what was done during the Bush administration.
We can’t ignore this stuff. The past has shown us that when the CIA goes rogue it ends up hurting us all, departing from its traditional mission and it success at that, moving into the sort of immoral activity that increases distrust of America from the outside and inside.
If Director Panetta is trying to obstruct that, perhaps he should step down. And people thought a guy from outside the national security club would be more interested in letting some sunshine in.
The general incompetence doesn’t help, either.
Smartest. Administration. Evah.
If this is what we can expect out of the 43% of positions Obama’s filled, maybe we’re better off leaving the other 57% vacant.

“So yeah, we’ve got adults back in charge.”
Thank you, Messrs Hannity, O’Reilly and Limbaugh.
Good! Throw Leon ‘Morocco Mole’ Panetta to the curb! That’s how you run an administration, with an iron fist.
You get out of line…………….you’re done.
Is Hillary listening?
We know Duros, Democrat = sacrosanct. Thanks for the feedback.

No, you show yourself incompetant at your job and you’re done. As it should be.
Now I know you’re used to seeing incompetence awarded with advancement (Hi, Condi. How ya doin’?) but when the adults are in charge things don’t go that way.
(Jay Tea thinks Obama’s appointments are bad. joaquin thinks they should remain because they are bad.
wingnut logic, ladies and gents.)
Unfortunately, that’s a staple of any bureaucracy, especially government. But, it’s also all the more reason to applaud instances where that isn’t the case.
Ah yes, the old “if we cannot win, nobody will” model for success. Really helps get stuff done, it does. A beautiful mindset.

“Brownie, you’re doin’ a heckuva job.”
“Harriet Myers would make a fine Supreme Court Justice.”
And Alberto Gonzales, and that dude that stole a TV from

I’m confused. Are the Usual Wingnutz now claiming that they’re now opposed to Torture in Our Name and now support investigating alleged torturers or systematic torture? Huh. If so, I wonder what happened to change their minds.

Don’t quit Panetta you have support from most of the Americans and please don’t leave us with those socialists in congress.
