“Rosa Parks was a 32nd degree Mason”-Alex Jones

  2. Anika says:

Why did they all jump on the person whose sign it was and escort her out?

  3. Barbara says:

If I (white) had done the same thing as that woman, there would have been no problem. Scandalous!

  4. Robert says:

    Jr,
Is that parody, or did he actually say that?
‘Cause that would mean. . . that Ms Parks was
actually OBAMA’S REAL FATHER. (dun dun DUN)

  5. bonncaruso says:

And what does this tell us? Hate is still alive and well in the USA. Let us all hope that cooler heads will prevail.

  6. revenantive says:

Missouri is filled with morons like that. Our state voted for Kit Bond several times, and elected John Ashcroft to several different offices over the past 40 years.

So to me, this kind of behavior from my fellow Missourians comes as no surprise.

What a shame. I’m looking to move out to the coasts.. any coast where progressives might want or need me! Can anyone help? I want out, now! I hate being associated with these types of losers just because I live in the same state.

We are all not like this! I promise!

  7. calling all toasters says:

Did those women enter through the “whites only” door or something?

  8. durablend says:

Notice how the right wing peanut gallery is conveniently avoiding this?

C’mon guys…how about a little “Obviously a left wing plant trying and failing to make the right look bad” for old time sake?

  9. [...] I know it’s a small thing, but this teabagger ripping up a poster of Rosa Parks seems particularly fucked up to me (via Oliver Willis). [...]

  10. Plantsmantx says:

“Why did they all jump on the person whose sign it was and escort her out?”

    Because she’s black.

  11. Bruce says:

Well, once Rosa Parks sat down on that all-white emergency room crash cart and wouldn’t…

    wait, I’m confused….

  12. abanterer says:

Total dick move on that guy’s part. Stay classy, asswipe!

I’d be pissed too if a guy totalled something that was mine out of the blue, even if it was just a sign I brought. And yet, I’ll BET there was at least one swastika out there in the crowd that this guy couldn’t bothered about. I just wonder if he’ll mention it to his ‘black friend’.

  13. El Cid says:

Missouri is filled with morons like that. Our state voted for Kit Bond several times, and elected John Ashcroft to several different offices over the past 40 years.

Oh, c’mon! They voted for a dead guy to keep Ashcroft from being their Senator, back when there was a plague of small plane crashes among Democratic Senators.

  14. Jay Tea says:

Oh, my, it appears someone actually looked carefully at the video… my old boss at Wizbang:

    wizbangblog.com/content/2009/08/13/sen-claire-mccaskills-henchman-tore-up-rosa-parks-sign.php

The “hateful,” “racist,” “teabagger” was wearing a powder-blue T-Shirt with the word “VOLUNTEER” emblazoned across the back.

That’s right. He was there working for that racist, teabagging political terrorist douchebag McCaskill.

    Senator Claire McCaskill, D-MO.

Couple this with the discovery that the people who started bringing swastikas were Larouchists upset that Obama’s plan doesn’t go far enough towards single-payer…

    /hotair.com/archives/2009/08/12/video-the-origin-of-the-nazi-references-at-town-hall-protests/

Please continue the Two-Minute Hate and lynch mob circle-jerk… it’s very entertaining.

Just please be sure to clean up after yourselves this time.

    J.

  15. Couple this with the discovery that the people who started bringing swastikas were Larouchists upset that Obama’s plan doesn’t go far enough towards single-payer…
Are those the new marching orders? LOL.

  16. Jay Tea says:

Yup. Right after we mention the glorious efficiencies of the Post Office (Obama’s model for ObamaCare), the AARP’s endorsement of ObamaCare, and right after we get social work grad students to impersonate doctors at town halls and endorse ObamaCare.

Sorry, I’ve gotta go — Sheila Jackson Lee is calling me from a town hall forum…

    J.

  17. Jaim says:

“the glorious efficiencies of the Post Office”

Really? In decades I’ve never had a letter or package lost or mishandled. Have you?

Although I do wish they’d hire more people for working the counters at the hour before closing. Too many people in line enjoying the benefits of one of our great Federal programs.

But I’m sure guys like Jay use home-grown carrier pigeons rather than indulge in yet another Socialist program. This is why he doesn’t drive on highways either.

  18. Jay Tea says:

I’ve had several things up and disappear while in the custody of the USPS, Jaim… and others take forever to arrive.

On the other hand, FedEx has never let me down. Not once.

Don’t get too upset about that, Jaim. Please don’t go postal on us again.

Oh, and I also forgot — we’ve got to line up a girl to ask Obama a tough question at the next town hall. We’ve gotta be less obvious than that one in Portsmouth — so we’re trying to find one that’s actually from the state where the meeting will be, and NOT the daughter of a McCain delegate.

    J.

  19. Jaim says:

“I’ve had several things up and disappear while in the custody of the USPS”

Oh my, Jay speaks yet again from a position of authority.

I’ve had far more problems with FedEx than I ever did with the USPS, but hey, that’s subjectivity for you.

But it’s cute how completely deranged you are. You really think invoking the Post Office immediately sends non-wingers into fits of hysterical anti-government madness.

Dude, come out of the bunker. Talk to a girl. Enjoy the sunshine. You’ll start to see that America remains and will remain the most capitalistic nation on the face of the Earth even after Obama’s health plan passes.

  20. Jay Tea says:

Jaim, the Postal Service lost seven billion dollars last year. (That is in the “spent more than it took in” sense, not “lost in the mail” sense.) It’s expected to lose another seven billion this year. I don’t remember the last time it was self-supporting.

    FedEx and UPS make profits.

And why don’t you (or Oliver) have anything to say about the McCaskill volunteer who was the actual ripper of the sign? You know, the actual topic of this thread?

Come on, it’s never too late to start the walkback to reality…

    J.

  21. Jaim says:

Um, I didn’t say it was self-supporting jackass. I said that it’s a good Federal institution that most reality-based Americans appreciate.

Yes, it runs at a loss. But it also sends mail cheaper than any other advanced nation (usually about 50% cheaper than what you’d spend in another first-world nation). It’s subsidized by our tax money, basically, and in return we get (IMO) the best public mail system in the world, not to mention one of he cheapest.

So we pay our taxes, and a very small amount of them (in relative terms) goes to the USPS, and we get a government service out of it that even people like my highly Republican close relative really enjoy. Hell, you should see how excited he gets for the new stamps that they do.

This is why your party and ideology is doomed, Jay. You just can’t handle the notion that there are things government can do that Americans don’t actually mind paying taxes for (highways would be the next thing that comes to mind, and clean water and a mostly reliable power-grid would be the others).

Like I said, living in your mom’s basement has given you a pretty dim view of the world. That’s too bad.

“You know, the actual topic of this thread?”

The king of the non-sequitur thread-crap clutches his pearls tightly to his chest.

If a McCaskill aid did what you claim, that’s wrong. But dude, you’re linking to wizbang. I don’t waste my time driving traffic to fringe places like that. Might as well link to Freep.

  22. Jay Tea says:

If a McCaskill aid (sic) did what you claim, that’s wrong. But dude, you’re linking to wizbang. I don’t waste my time driving traffic to fringe places like that. Might as well link to Freep.

Then just watch the video Oliver posted at the top of this article, you flaming idiot. The event was billed as “no posters,” and this volunteer — James Winfrey — took it upon himself (as an official, uniformed volunteer — to enforce the policy.

No teabagging, no racism, and the douchebag was a volunteer for the Democratic Senator.

    Get over it.

Or, if you like, keep digging yourself deeper. It’s fun to watch.

    J.

  23. El Cid says:

The USPS is barred by law from ‘being profitable’, so, unfortunately, it cannot build up cash reserves and it cannot raise prices simply based on market possibilities.

  24. Jay Tea says:

So true, El Cid. That entirely explains 10-digit losses year after year after year…

    J.

  25. El Cid says:

So true, El Cid. That entirely explains 10-digit losses year after year after year…

Why wouldn’t it? I mean, does UPS send a letter across country for less than 50 cents? WTF? A smirk? That’s your informed response?

  26. Jay Tea says:

No, El Cid, I’m saying that “they aren’t allowed to make a profit” hardly explains multi-billion-dollar losses. And I’m saying that it hardly makes a compelling case for the same philosophy to be put in charge of about one-sixth of the economy.

But I’m not certain what that has to do with a McCaskill volunteer tearing up a Rosa Parks poster… and I’m curious what all the above people who denounced Mr. Winfrey before he was identified as a McCaskill volunteer still hold the same opinions of him. Also, if they are going to continue their “guilt by association” tirades now that he’s been identified not as a “teabagger” but, rather, “one of them.”

I already know the answer. I’m just anticipating the amusement as it’s spun.

    J.

  27. Jay Tea says:

    Gorgon is an asshole.

In this case, though, he’s an accurate and funny one.

Could’ve been better — Gorgon forgot to toss in a Limbaugh and a Savage.

    J.

  28. El Cid says:

No, El Cid, I’m saying that “they aren’t allowed to make a profit” hardly explains multi-billion-dollar losses.

Yeah. I got that. Hence, my direct and clear question on why you think that argument makes sense.

Since I actually work in a business I know how practicing continually at below-market sustainable prices can hurt one’s profit margin or ability to run without loss.

And why it’s here on this blog comment list? People, oh somebody, started talking about how you can’t have government health care reforms because, hey, the Post Office loses money, unlike private agencies like our Wall Street masters, but then again, that wasn’t their fault, that was ACORN and CRA and Jimmy Carter and Barney Frank.

  29. Jaim says:

Gee, Gorgon’s Klan rally must have let out early.

  30. Jay Tea says:

Actually, El Cid, I brought up the Post Office because Obama brought up the Post Office while discussing health care. From his New Hampshire “town hall” (stuffed with plants):

“UPS and FedEx are doing fine. It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems.”

…and what’s the current status of the AARP endorsement of ObamaCare?

If you’ll excuse me, I’ve now gotta worry about my doctor cutting off my feet just to make a few more bucks. It was bad enough when Obama warned me that they’d be after my tonsils on purely mercenary grounds, but now this is serious…

    J.

  31. Gorgon says:

    Ooohhhhh! Lookee! Everything’s RAAAAAAACIST!!!!!!

Keep up with this shit and watch for the mass exodus of whites from the dem party in the coming decade. You can’t continue to disingenuously smear people like this and not have consequences.

Your full racial meltdown is fun to watch however.

  32. Southern Quaker says:

    FedEx and UPS make profits.

And are you willing to pay $9 in postage for first class mail?

  33. Parthenon says:

Keep up with this shit and watch for the mass exodus of whites from the dem party in the coming decade.

Have fun with your party that keeps getting older and whiter, big guy.

Although we all suspect that’s how you prefer it.

  34. Parthenon says:

Jesus, the cons actually want to privatize things that were part of the government in the revolutionary era. Friedman worship in action.

  35. Dennis says:

Have fun with your party that keeps getting older and whiter, big guy.

    …..Election 2010:
    Pennsylvania Senate Election
Pennsylvania Senate: Toomey 48%, Specter 36%

…..Obama Approval Rating Falls to New Low…47%

…..Nationally, support for the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats has fallen to a new low. Just 42% favor the plan while 53% are opposed.

…..In the Virginia Governor’s race, Republican Bob McDonnell has opened a nine-point advantage over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds. In New Jersey’s race for Governor, incumbent Democratic Governor Jon Corzine trails by double digits.

….Republicans maintains a modest lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

  36. Duros62 says:

I have mp desire to be polite to people that were as vicious, blatantly dishonest, and assholes themselves for the last 8 years.

    Turnabout is fair play.

And I have no desire to play nice with people who advocate assassination and armed insurrection. Funny I don’t remember weapons in play the last 8 years.

    Fuck you.

  37. Duros62 says:

A lot can happen in 15 months, Denny. Just sayin’.

  38. Dennis says:

Of course it can, Duros. But the canard you guys keep flogging on here that the Republican party consists primarily of old white southern racists who are dying off and losing numbers and doomed to be a fringe party just doesn’t hold water. Neither does the ridiculous Lefty refrain about the adults being in charge now.

    Just sayin’.

  39. Didn’t realize that Madoff’s sentence allowed him to do Rasmussen’s numbers from behind bars.

  40. Dennis says:

Claire Mccaskill herself this was almost certainly a case of overreaction to the ‘no signs allowed’ policy at the town hall rather than some targeted attack on a civil-rights icon.

    No racism, folks.

  41. Jay Tea says:

Oh, and Oliver, the “doctor” who got hugged by Sheila Jackson-Lee’s event turns out not to be a doctor (neither a GP nor a pediatrician, as she claimed and everyone in the media parroted. Instead, she’s a social worker and a lead organizer for Organizing For America, as well as a former Obama delegate.

Could you comment on this, which was obviously not fraudulent and astroturfing, because she’s supporting Obama?

    J.
