Teabaggers Don’t Want ANY Health Care Reform

Like we’ve been saying.

On a private conference call, a group of top Tea Party and conservative organizers offered a surprisingly frank description of their goal, according to a source on the call: Completely blocking any kind of bipartisan compromise, and completely preventing any type of health care reform bill at all from ever becoming law.

I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!

  2. Indeed says:

Kind of like Jesus. Jesus hated the very notion of any kind of universal health care, especially for the poor. If he were around, Jesus would be right there with the angry mob and the Hugeass Insurance Companies. These are Good Christians here.

  3. Android says:

Their ONLY goal is to STOP Obama from doing something… ANYTHING… if OBAMA started an initiative to spay and neuter strays, they’d stop that, too… because their one, their only goal IS TO DISCREDIT THE DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT.

  4. Duros62 says:

    So the question is WHY?

  5. ignobility says:

Why? Because they’ve been fed a line by the rethug masters (i.e. health insurance cos.) and they’re stupid enough to believe the lies.

  6. Quaker in a Basement says:

    So the question is WHY?

Because they’re so desperate to defeat Hussein X Obammy that they’re willing to keep healthcare expensive, insurance companies in control, and flush a trillion dollars a year in excess medical costs a year right down the hopper.

  7. buma says:

I propose a phased approach that would take about 5 years. In year one you add fifteen years to those covered by Medicare, so everyone over age 65 and up to age 15 would be covered. In year 2 it’s everyone up to age 30 and those over 65. And so on, until everyone is covered. By then the wingers will have found something else to protest against. I mean, can anyone name a country that has ditched universal health care after setting it up?

Meanwhile, noted Liberal Susan Estrich has come out *against* Obamacare.

    **Summer in Washington**
“The stimulus program must really be succeeding in Washington, D.C. Government is hiring; people are working. In fact, if news reports are to be believed, they’re working night and day. So maybe there’s some sleep deprivation thrown in for good measure. And don’t forget the legendary heat and humidity that made service in the nation’s Capitol hazardous before the advent of air conditioning.

“What other explanation could there be for my friends in Congress and the administration thinking that what the country wants them to do right now is raise taxes and spend a trillion dollars to overhaul health care, much less to push it through in a month in a 1,000-page bill being rewritten every day?

“In California, where I live, unemployment is in double digits and climbing, and the state has been issuing IOUs for weeks. I’m blessed, and I’m not complaining.

“But not a day goes by that someone doesn’t call me, desperate for help in finding a job. And it’s never been harder to help. For all intents and purposes, unless you have some very special skill to sell, there are simply no jobs. You want to wait tables or make coffee drinks? Good luck. Get in line.

“The idea that somehow you’re going to tax the “rich” enough to pay for quality health care for every American who doesn’t have it, can’t afford it or stands to lose it, not to mention for all of the undocumented aliens who receive it for free now and presumably will continue to in Obama health land, is almost laughable.”

Whoa. Wonder if Olbermann and Maddow will invite her on to speak about Obama’s plan.

    Well, fvck that, I say.

If we can get the president to say breathing is a good idea, will they collectively hold their breath until they pass out?

  11. some guy says:

    “Parthenon”,
Wow, THAT’s an intelligent argument. Where did you get that one from: Daffy Duck?

  12. Duros62 says:

It’s at least as intelligent as anything that pours out of Palin’s pie hole.
