Lefty Obsession for Citizen Sarah is the EverReady Bunny.

  2. Except the MSM keeps covering Quitter Sarah and forcing us to deal with her.

  3. Quaker in a Basement says:

Dennis, ever since she popped off with her “death panel” nonsense, you’ve been pushing the very same crap right here. Why wouldn’t we follow it back to the source?

  4. freD says:

At least she appears to listen to advisors who know what they’re doing, even if she does not.

  5. Burn says:

“Hey Media, will ya quit making things up?”

    Take your own advice, nitwit.

  6. Burn says:

Oh and Dennis, tell you what. Why don’t you get your own blog, and then we’ll come over and shit on your carpet daily, whining about your content and your choice of topics. Mmmkay?

  7. fafaroo says:

Lefty Obsession for Citizen Sarah is the EverReady Bunny.

There’s a neat and predictable dodge from Citizen Dennis who clearly does not want to address the facts in the AP article because they entirely refute his claims that the health care reform bill was calling for a “Put Grandma On Perma Sleep” program, as he so charmingly put it, or that a government medical review board would decide to pull the plug on people.

  8. Dennis says:

I was talking about all Lefties, Burn. The choice of topics is fine.

  9. Dennis says:

There’s a neat and predictable dodge from Citizen Dennis who clearly does not want to address the facts in the AP article because they entirely refute his claims that the health care reform bill was calling for a “Put Grandma On Perma Sleep” program, as he so charmingly put it, or that a government medical review board would decide to pull the plug on people.

I think there may be one lurker on this blog who hasn’t read you droning on about my mentioning Grannny and the medical review board fifty times the last five days now, fafaroo. I’m guessing this post if for that lurker’s benefit, no?

  10. Indeed says:

I’m guessing this post if for that lurker’s benefit, no?

So still dodging the post at hand. Got it.

  11. Quaker in a Basement says:

You know what, OW? I think it’s time for you to bring back that “Chill the F Out! I Got This!” poster.

  12. fafaroo says:

I think there may be one lurker on this blog who hasn’t read you droning on about my mentioning Grannny and the medical review board fifty times the last five days now, fafaroo.

But not one of them has had the chance to read you admitting that you spread untrue garbage about the health care bill.

But I’m sure they’ve been very entertained by your dancing abilities. I know I’ve been.

  13. Crusty Dem says:

    Shorter Dennis:
“When you remind people how stupid I am, it just makes you look bad”

  14. Dennis says:

But not one of them has had the chance to read you admitting that you spread untrue garbage about the health care bill.

I haven’t done that and they’re not going to, either, fafaroo.

And you honestly very much need to get over yourself.

  15. Dennis says:

You know what, OW? I think it’s time for you to bring back that “Chill the F Out! I Got This!” poster.

I think that is a GREAT idea, Quibbie.

  16. Quaker in a Basement says:

    I haven’t done that…

Wait, what? You haven’t spread untrue garbage? Or you haven’t admitted it?

  17. fafaroo says:

I haven’t done that and they’re not going to, either, fafaroo.

I don’t know the previous psot will get through moderation as it contained multiple links to your comments proving the exact opposite.

So you’re saying you didn’t refer to the health care bill’s advanced care counseling provision as a “Put Grandma to Sleep Program”?

So you’re saying you didn’t characterize that same program as the government visiting seniors at home and to tell them whether they’d be allowed to live?

So you’re saying you didn’t link to an NRO article which said the bill would require a “medical review board” to determine end of life care issues, including whether or not someone was allowed to live or not?

You didn’t say/do any of these things Dennis?

  18. fafaroo says:

And you honestly very much need to get over yourself.

And I think you just need to be honest.

  19. joaquin says:

    Obamacare is in the crapper.
Hillary is making an idiot of herself.
The Pres. just made a complete fool of himself.
Dem. congressmen and Senators are getting grilled.
Dead soldiers in Afghanistan has reached 700
    10% unemployment.
And yet the children here at OW are concerned about the former governor of Alaska.

  20. Dennis says:

Wait, what? You haven’t spread untrue garbage? Or you haven’t admitted it?

I haven’t done the former, so therefore I won’t be doing the latter.

  21. fafaroo says:

And yet the children here at OW are concerned about the former governor of Alaska …. spreading lies to American citizens about “death panels.”

    Fixed.

  22. Dennis says:

And yet the children here at OW are concerned about the former governor of Alaska.

It’s early, joaquin, but that is the post of the week so far.

  23. Merkin Patriot says:

HA HA HA TRICKY LIBERASL TRICK ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU TRICK ME AGAIN SAHME ON ME OF COARSE THERES DEATH PANNELS ITS IN TEH SYNAPSES OF TEH BILL THAT I GOT IN MY EMAIL FROM FEER REPUBLIC

  24. Dennis says:

And yet the children here at OW are concerned about the former governor of Alaska …. spreading lies to American citizens about “death panels.”

    Fixed.

    First grade, fafaroo.

I won’t even tell you that’s beneath you anymore, because apparently it’s not.

  25. fafaroo says:

Dennis, this is how you characterized the advanced care counseling provision of the bill, a provision which is entirely voluntary for patients:

They also don’tlook forward to some douchbag government employee knocking on their door for their annual end of life consultation, rip.

Imagaine what that’s like when you know he’s coming and you here the knock at the door. “Hey, good to see ya, man. Can I get you anything? Cup of coffee, glass of water, beer, wine, ….anything?”

“Is it time for me to pack it in now, or can you give me another year?”

Go ahead and read the AP article and tell me that’s an honest assessment of what’s in the bill.

  26. Seth Cohen says:

Hey, why is Jean-Luc Picard in the photo under this post? Hope we aren’t comparing him to Palin – it’s an insult to a beloved fictional (Star Trek) character! :)

  27. Dennis says:

fafaroo, I’ll admit that I’m a bit embarrassed about the spelling errors in those statements you keep posting. In the future, would you mind correcting them for me, or doing the [sic] thing?

I’d do that for you if I was going to post something you said twenty times over a five day period.

  28. fafaroo says:

I’d do that for you if I was going to post something you said twenty times over a five day period.

And yet what I ask is so simple: Just explain why you chose to characterize the health care bill in that way.

What basis in fact is there for such a fear mongering characterization?

  29. Dennis says:

    fafaroo-

You were the kid in class who kept bringing up the same boring subject all the time to your favorite teacher and all the other kids in the class just did what Jean-Luc Picard is doing in the picture above.

The kid who jumped up and waved his arms around wildly like he has to go to the bathroom when the teacher was about to show a film and asked if anyone in the class knew
    A/V.

    “I do! I do! I do!!!”

  30. matt621 says:

Except the MSM keeps covering Quitter Sarah and forcing us to deal with her.

Well, they can’t very well cover this, so I guess you’re stuck with Sarah, huh?

  31. canadian bacon says:

    Dodger Dennis.

  32. Quaker in a Basement says:

The kid who jumped up and waved his arms around wildly like he has to go to the bathroom when the teacher was about to show a film and asked if anyone in the class knew
    A/V.

I think that trenchant analysis puts the question to rest, don’t you faffer?

  33. Duros62 says:

a provision which is entirely voluntary for patients:

And, I think it is important to point out, introduced by a Republican.

  34. Duros62 says:

What is really sad is that CBS News has to do a story regarding the AP fact-checking Cut-&-Run Sarah’s blatant lies about death squads.

  35. fafaroo says:

You were the kid in class who kept bringing up the same boring subject all the time to your favorite teacher and all the other kids in the class just did what Jean-Luc Picard is doing in the picture above.

Again, it’s duck and dodge, time for you Dennis. It’s all you do.

  36. Dennis says:

And yet what I ask is so simple: Just explain why you chose to characterize the health care bill in that way.

What basis in fact is there for such a fear mongering characterization?

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-08-11/obamas-euthanasia-mistake/?cid=bsa:archive4

    Obama’s Euthanasia Mistake
Obama told Diane Sawyer in June that government should “study and figure out what works and what doesn’t. And let’s encourage doctors and patients to get what works. Let’s discourage what doesn’t.”

Sawyer then asked him: “Will it just be encouragement? Or will there be a board making Solomonic decisions?”

Obama replied, “What I’ve suggested is—is that we have a—a commission that helps—made up of doctors, made up of experts, that helps set best—best practices.”

When Sawyer pressed him to say whether those practices would be enforced by law, he evaded the question.
    ——————–

Hmmm. A-a commission that helps-made up of doctors, made up of experts, that helps set best-best practices”.

Sounds suspiciously what some might call a medical review board, now, doesn’t it?

    Naaa-hhhh.

  37. Duros62 says:

    “Quit making stuff up.”

  38. fafaroo says:

Sounds suspiciously what some might call a medical review board, now, doesn’t it?

Again, another dodge. There’s nothing in section 1233 about advanced care consultation involving medical boards or reviews.

    Nothing whatsoever.

The section deals with doctors and patients discussing what the patients wishes are for end of life care.

Nothing about medical boards being involved. Nothing about euthanasia. Nothing about pulling the plug on someone because they’re old and costing too much.

    Nothing.

Read the bill, Dennis. You won’t embarrass yourself as much that way.

    But keep dancing my, friend.

  39. fafaroo says:

Oh man, Dennis. You keep doubling down on stupid.

Have you forgotten the admonishment of Eugene Robinson, Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist and former assistant managing editor for The Washington Post?

In one thread, you cite Robinson, who calls Palin’s statements irresponsible, outlandish and false then in this one, you cite an article by lee Siegel that does exactly the same thing as Palin.

    Pathetic.

  40. Duros62 says:

The section deals with doctors and patients discussing what the patients wishes are for end of life care.

And about Medicare reimbursing the patient for the cost of those consultations.

As our Tea Bag friends keep saying to our elected officials, Denny, READ THE BILL!

  41. Duros62 says:

Also, keep in mind this section of the bill is an addendum to legislation that is already in place, and has been for the last five or so years. Also, introduced by a Republican.

  42. fafaroo says:

Dennis, i have to ask, if conservatives have a problem with the language in section 1233, why don’t they ask that the language be changed?

Why do conservatives have to run around screaming euthanasia, “death boards!” Nazi Germany! in order to do that?

  43. Duros62 says:

Because they are the party of drama queens and attention whores.

  44. william says:

Supposedly the whole point of this whole “reform” fiasco is to reduce longterm costs and insure the uninsured. You can’t do that without rationing. Once something is “free”, people want more of it. There will have to be some sort of end of life health care rationing as well as rationing in general. There is no other way to to reduce costs.

  45. Duros62 says:

You can’t do that without rationing.
    Bullshit.

  46. Dennis says:

In one thread, you cite Robinson, who calls Palin’s statements irresponsible, outlandish and false then in this one, you cite an article by lee Siegel that does exactly the same thing as Palin.

What I cited an article of contained a direct quote by Dear Leader, fafaroo, that makes it sound very much like a medical review board. It’s not poetic license to say that. It’s not “making stuff up”. It’s not “being irresponsible” to say that sounds an awful lot like he’s suggesting a medical review board, fafaroo.

I can’t remember once in the last five days since you’ve been on this high horse your questioning Obama or any Democrat on anything about the health care bill. You think my characterizations about end of life consultations on a liberal blog is far more important to address.

Both Robinson and Siegel find those fears justified. You won’t and don’t have the decency to say there is something very real to the fact that those fears are justified, either, or that the way Democrats are going about selling Obamacare is the reason for public perception declining as rapidly as it is.

I’d almost suspect you think attacking Republicans as rabble-rousing mobs and swastika carrying racists is the best way to win back public approval for Obama and getting Obamacare passed.

  47. Duros62 says:

There will have to be some sort of end of life health care rationing as well as rationing in general. There is no other way to to reduce costs.

Bullshit. You don’t know that and neither does the person you heard that crap from.

  48. Dennis says:

Dennis, i have to ask, if conservatives have a problem with the language in section 1233, why don’t they ask that the language be changed?

Tell you what, next time I attend a town hall, I will, come to think of it.

  49. Duros62 says:

You think my characterizations about end of life consultations on a liberal blog is far more important to address.

Yes, denny, because they are so epically wrong, misguided, uninformed and dishonest.

  50. Quaker in a Basement says:

Faffer, Duros, I really hate to do this…but Dennis is kinda, sorta right (even if for all the wrong reasons).

On page 502 of the current House bill, there’s a provision that calls for the establishment of a “Center for Healthcare Effectiveness Research.” The center would basically collect data to figure out which treatments, you know, work.

Some of our nuttier friends have added two plus two and come up with the answer: Lobster teacup.

They are taking the provision that enables end of life counseling and the provision to research effective treatments and taken the mighty leap to the conclusion that the gubmint is going to deny granny the hip replacement she needs to go back to skydiving class.

Effectiveness of treatment is something that every insurance company makes judgements about every day. The new center would make similar decisions except it would define “effective” as “helps the patient” instead of “increases earnings per share.”

So you see, you should be careful when you argue that there isn’t a board in the legislation. Dennis is right about this. There is a board. It just doesn’t do any of the things he thinks it will.

  51. canadian bacon says:

“Tell you what, next time I attend a town hall, I will, come to think of it”

Why wait? You have a phone, email, letters to the editor, etc. Ask now if you really want this to happen. You do want it, right?

  52. Dennis says:

There is a board. It just doesn’t do any of the things he thinks it will.

    You don’t know that Quibbie.

Five days and you two are still no further along than you were then. Nor any more convincing, or from they way you sound, convinced yourselves.

I just wonder how many people I pushed into the Worried and Doubting Obamacare’ column, and how many I pushed there but came back to the Good Side because of you two quoting my two sentences from Friday afternoon. I mean, it’s been so enlightening for everyone, I’m sure.

    Meanwhile, Rome, and Obamacare, burns.

  53. Quaker in a Basement says:

You can’t do that without rationing. Once something is “free”, people want more of it.

No one is talking about “free” health care, willie. ‘Cept you.

  54. Quaker in a Basement says:

Give it up, Dennis. You have made it entirely clear that you know nothing at all about the health care reform proposals and don’t want to know. All that matters to you is that Obammy must be stopped.

  55. Dennis says:

The new center would make similar decisions except it would define “effective” as “helps the patient” instead of “increases earnings per share.”

The new center still has to weigh costs, Quibbie. Obama said that. Ezekiel Emmanuel said it, too.

You’re being obtuse and fafaroo is being a pompitous a-hole.

  56. Dennis says:

Give it up, Dennis. You have made it entirely clear that you know nothing at all about the health care reform proposals and don’t want to know. All that matters to you is that Obammy must be stopped.

And you said last week you were going to stop addressing me, Duros. I thought I could take you seriously when you said that.

  57. Dennis says:

All that matters to you is that Obammy must be stopped.

I’ve never called him ‘Obammy’, Duros. That’s somewhat of a racist term. Why do you use it?

  58. Quaker in a Basement says:

And you said last week you were going to stop addressing me, Duros.

Quaker in a Basement. Duros. They look very similar. It’s a mistake anyone could make. Really.

  59. Quaker in a Basement says:

The new center still has to weigh costs, Quibbie.

And that, of course, would be entirely new. No one weighs the cost of treatment today.

  60. Dennis says:

Oh shit, that was Quibbie being racist. Gadzooks.

Sorry for that, Duros. My apologies.

  61. Quaker in a Basement says:

That’s somewhat of a racist term.

It isn’t. Anyway, how on earth would you know?

  62. Hey look, another rigged Rasmussen poll!

  63. Dennis says:

    It is Quaker.

Funny, I just googled and guess what favorite website of people’s here jumped right out.

    Obammy’s mammy

[Oliver here, no links to Stormfront, here's the url if you want to see it: stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php?t=607302]

Have you been on vacay this summer, Quibbie? I think you need one. I’ve got a place on the OBX that’s not being used much in Sept. if you want to use it for a few days. It’s nice there then. I know most of the neighbors so please just don’t use the n-word there if you can think of it. Otherwise, just enjoy yourself.

  64. Dennis says:

Scott got the election dead on, Oliver. Whatever you might say about his polls being rigged, and I’m not saying they are, they’ve been a pretty accurate predictor of Obama’s approval trends.

Trends that haven’t been his friends.

  65. Quaker in a Basement says:

I see you’re done discussing health care.

    Good call.

  66. fafaroo says:

What I cited an article of contained a direct quote by Dear Leader, fafaroo, that makes it sound very much like a medical review board. It’s not poetic license to say that. It’s not “making stuff up”.

There is absolutely nothing about medical review boards reviewing people’s end of life care decisions in the bill.

So, yes, Dennis. It is making it up.

  67. Jaim says:

Dennis, you really need to get either a job or your own blog.

  68. Jaim says:

And for God’s sake don’t link to stormfront you dumb piece of shit.

  69. Dennis says:

I see you’re done discussing health care.

    Good call.

Was just surprised to see you write a racist perjorative, Quaker.

Sorry, back to my quote from Friday. Where were we again?

Ah yes, here’s fafaroo and his high hat.

  70. Quaker in a Basement says:

Was just surprised to see you write a racist perjorative

Are we doing reruns now? Very well:

It isn’t. Anyway, how on earth would you know?

  71. Heh. We were talking about people being obsessed, right?

  72. Dennis says:

There is absolutely nothing about medical review boards reviewing people’s end of life care decisions in the bill.

So we should just completely disregard things Obama said that sound very much like review boards to contain costs at end of life time periods and trust him and his advisors that everything they do from now on will be as you interpret the bill?

Sorry, fafaroo, most of us just aren’t as blindly trusting as you are, I’m afraid. Don’t blame me, I’m just the messenger here.

  73. fafaroo says:

Ah yes, here’s fafaroo and his high hat.

How’s that beanie working out for you, Dennis?

  74. Dennis says:

It isn’t. Anyway, how on earth would you know?

I know because had I said it, everyone here would call me a racist and remind me that I said that word for the next six months or so….that’s how I know.

  75. Quaker in a Basement says:

I know because had I said it, everyone here would call me a racist.. and then you would deny it and blah, blah, blah.

    Health care. We done?

  76. Dennis says:

I think so, Quibbie. Time for The Factor, anyway.

    Cya.

  77. Dennis says:

    I don’t think you’re a racist, Quibbie, just fyi.

  78. Jaim says:

Nah, he’d never do something as dumb and racist as linking to stormfront.

Jesus, you’re a miserable human being Dennis. It’s pretty amazing you haven’t been banned from here for your racist bullshit.

  79. Indeed says:

    Time for The Factor, anyway.

Holy fucking shit is that funny. Mercy. Whoa.

  80. freD says:

So Dennis, besides Oliver and Stormfront, what other blogs do you read?

  81. Dennis says:

freD, are you kidding or being serious? I told Quibbie that I thought the word he used for Obama, ‘Obammy’, was somewhat racist. He said it wasn’t, so I googled it.

The first reference I saw was to the Stormfront website where someone was using it as a racist term, and that’s what I told him. Go back upthread and read it.

Jaim’s just being an a-hole because he’s got nothing better to do and no good prospects. If I had used the same term rest assured you’d be reading him reminding me of it for the next 6 months.

  82. Jaim says:

“So Dennis, besides Oliver and Stormfront, what other blogs do you read?”

    Perez Hilton. And FreeRepublic.

Seriously Dennis, if you’re too fucking stupid to understand why linking to stormfront is a bad idea, you really need to put the bottle down.

  83. Indeed says:

Seriously Dennis, if you’re too fucking stupid to understand why linking to stormfront is a bad idea, you really need to put the bottle down.

    Dude, those are his people.

  84. Dennis says:

Seriously Dennis, if you’re too fucking stupid to understand why linking to stormfront is a bad idea, you really need to put the bottle down.

Pretty much indicates it’s a racist term to a guy that used it and denied it was, then, doesn’t it. How else to break the bad news to him? If I used it, you’d link to the same website and then run with it for the next six months.

Or at least up until Dec. 27th.

  85. Jaim says:

Pretty much drives potential traffic to a known hate-site.

There’s no other way to put it Dennis — you’re a dumbfuck. A moron. A shithead.

You linked to a known hate-site to try (and fail) and make a stupid joke.

I’ve scraped stuff off of my shoe with more decency and common sense than you.

  86. ‘Lefty Obsession for Citizen Sarah is the EverReady Bunny.’

Absolutely; how did the Democrats ever consider running her for VP?

  87. ‘Wait, what? You haven’t spread untrue garbage? Or you haven’t admitted it?’

You know the answer to that Quake; Dennis is never and has never been wrong about anything. Except his choice of political affiliation and the bizarre idea that this is his personal blog.

  88. ‘And yet the children here at OW are concerned about the former governor of Alaska.’

Bush lied the nation into a war of choice, bankrupting the US morally and financially, tortured prisoners in secret detention camps without trial and lied about that as well, wiretapped US citizens illegally and lied about that, all with the blessings of his majority in Congress and the ‘base’ who put him in charge, and NOW the Right is concerned about important issues?

    You must be joking.

  89. ‘Wait, what? You haven’t spread untrue garbage? Or you haven’t admitted it?

I haven’t done the former, so therefore I won’t be doing the latter.’

Jesus, you really are a piece of work; caught out in a blatant attempt to characterize a bill you clearly haven’t read, and instead of being an adult and admitting you were wrong, those pointing out your obvious hypocrisy are the ones at fault.

You might as well be advising Palin; you’re both on the same hubris factor 3,000.

  90. ‘You were the kid in class who kept bringing up the same boring subject all the time….’

And you’re the kid who couldn’t admit that the Earth is round because you were to busy eating bugs all day to actually learn anything.

    Bon appetit.

  91. ‘Sounds suspiciously what some might call a medical review board, now, doesn’t it?’

What a stretch, from death panel to medical review board; I suppose they’re the same thing to you?

  92. ‘You can’t do that without rationing’

    YES. YOU. CAN.

Dozens of other countries do so without rationing a damn thing; except for the obscene revenues of a for profit insurance scam.

  93. ‘Sorry for that, Duros. My apologies.’

    What? YOU made a mistake?

    Unthinkable.

  94. ‘I think so, Quibbie. Time for The Factor, anyway.’

Oh Christ that explains a lot; you actively seek out mind numbing wastes of time.

  95. Indeed says:

Dozens of other countries do so without rationing a damn thing; except for the obscene revenues of a for profit insurance scam.

And how come so many other countries have better health care ratings and/or longer life spans? That’s weird.

  96. chow shark says:

So Lil Den-den is a Stormfronter? I’m shocked!!!

  97. zadura says:

william, it is very possible to reduce costs and improve coverage. Most people call it preventive care…

  98. Robert says:

Best line I’ve heard lately about this imbroglio:
“This may be the only country in the world where citizens angrily demand, in public forums, that the government NOT provide health care.”

Shorter: “Keep your government hands off my Medicare!”

  99. Wiz says:

fafaroo: Oh man, Dennis. You keep doubling down on stupid.

Everytime I read that, it makes me chuckle!
(Sadly, after reading the discourse above, I think it may be true…)

  100. durablend says:

Shorter: “Keep your government hands off my Medicare!”

ROFL every time I hear that

  101. matt621 says:

What? Too many Democrats in the sample again, Oliver?

  102. Duros62 says:

And you said last week you were going to stop addressing me, Duros.

    No.

    I.

    Didn’t.

  103. Duros62 says:

Effectiveness of treatment is something that every insurance company makes judgements about every day.

Sure, they call that “risk assessment”, don’t they? That’s what they use to deny you coverage. Or deny your claims.

You’re being obtuse and fafaroo is being a pompitous a-hole.

Is that anything like Steve Miller’s pompitous of love?

  105. Duros62 says:

So we should just completely disregard things Obama said that sound very much like review boards to contain costs at end of life time periods and trust him and his advis[e]rs that everything they do from now on will be as you interpret the bill?

You do know that Obama is not introducing the legislation, right?

Apparently Steve Miller’s ‘The Joker’ is making a big comeback these days, Duros.

    Not sure why, though.

“Apparently Steve Miller’s ‘The Joker’ is making a big comeback these days … .”

More like “Fly Like an Eagle.”

    “Feed the babies
Who don’t have enough to eat
    Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
    House the people
    Livin in the street
    Oh, oh, theres a solution”

    Here’s the punch line –

Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin
    Into the future
