It all depends on how you word the question. "Pro-choice" vs "Pro-Life" as you show well engender the 47-46 - but if you ask "Do you think abortion should be legal?" (which ironically of course is the very definition of "Pro-Choice" a large majority of Americans will answer yes Jaim is corret – but to refine the commentary. However, you'd also find that a majority of Americans would not want to throw women or their doctors in jail for having or performing an abortion, and yet that's exactly the police state the fundies want.
