   Our recent treatment for peanut allergy seems pretty good, and cheap. It’s …. peanuts, given in very small to up to 12 a day (might not seem a lot, but it means you can go for a chinese meal option without fear of going into shock.
   When I had my orthodontic work done (for free, which is rare, but when you are as dentally fucked up as I was), the use of two small concrete studs on my back teeth shaved a year from my treatment.
   My poiunt being, you don’t need money for innovation.

   Are there any old and disabled people left in the UK after the government death panels decided to “ration” away their care to someone more deserving? Does any child there even know their grandparents? Or do they just read them a story from their socialist bedtime book about how old people ‘go away’?

   The public option in action:

   A MUM suffering chest pains died in front of her young son hours after being sent home from hospital and told to take painkillers.

   Debra Beavers, 39, phoned NHS 24 twice in two days before getting a hospital appointment. But a doctor gave what her family described as a cursory examination lasting 11 minutes, before advising her to buy over-the-counter medicine Ibuprofen.

   Family members claim the medic was abrupt and rude – and when Debra clutched her chest, he told her: “Your heart is on the other side.”

   Seven hours later, the mum-of-two collapsed and died from a heart attack in front of her 13-year-old boy.

   “Henry William Allingham (6 June 1896 – 18 July 2009) was a British supercentenarian, First World War veteran and, for one month, the oldest verified living man in the world… At the time of his death, he was the 14th oldest verified man of all time.” Yes there are old people in Britain, and yes, I knew my grandparents. If you want to look for horror stories, you’ll find them in every country in the world. There are a lot of things wrong with the NHS. the post-code lottery being one of them, but everyone has access to basic health care and dental care regardless of income. How many Americans have been kicked out of their hospital beds because their insurance coverage ran out? How many homeless or poor Americans have died because they had no insurance? Perhaps those questions should be answered before the stones are cast.

   I thought there was to be no trucking of anecdotes in this debate.

   After all, I mentioned three examples of people’s lives ruined because they couldn’t afford healthcare, but that was before I was informed such things were out of bounds and irrelevant.

   …Or is it because the example from the UK is actually a case of medical malpractice, and has nothing to do with the system itself? Could that be why it’s okay?

   I think I get it. You are only allowed to cite examples for your argument if said examples make no sense whatsoever.

   How exactly will medical malpractice be remedied if a government beaureucrat denied care or recommended the wrong procedure? Will I be able to sue not only the doctor, but the government flunkie and the tools who wrote the rules and regulations. Pelosi, Reid, Obama?

    As is common knowledge, medical malpractice lawsuits are banned Banned BANNED under English Socialist law. Plaintiffs in said cases are generally sentenced to death via Spotted Dick, their organs ground up and sold as aphrodisiacs in state run pharmacies.

    Actually Jody, Crown Immunity did stop hospitals being sued up to about 20 years ago.
    Helen, Harry Patch died a few days earlier on, and so that’s all of the people who served in the first World War.
