SEIU OBAMA-SUPPORTER SMASHES WOMAN TEA PARTY PROTESTER IN FACE (Video)
Outside the Russ Carnahan town hall meeting on Thursday August 6, 2009, a SEIU Carnahan supporter smashed a woman tea party protester in the face with her camera. The woman was filming the assault by SEIU members on black conservative Kenneth Gladney.

Nonsense. If that’s what the videotaper says, okay, but I’ve watched that video loop like a dozen times and I cannot tell in the slightest what’s going on. How is that blurred confusion “not for the squeamish”?
If Kenneth Gladney was an Obama supporter, right now he’d be more famous than Rodney King. Al Sharpton would have a whole rack of new suits.

Right, a guy getting thrown to the ground and almost immediately getting up again (which is what the video shows) is exactly the same thing as a guy repeatedly being hit with batons.
I seriously doubt Rodney King was able to get up and walk around after what happened to him the way Mr. Gladney is able to after his supposed “beating.”

The evidence we have shows that there was a fight. A union guy was already on the ground, and Gladney looks like he was going to kick him. Gladney went down and got back up immediately.
Facts, Dennis. Facts. He wasn’t in the hospital for two days like Chairman Rush said. Gladney wasn’t “beaten.”
Let’s start calling them “healthers,” or “teabag terrorists.”

Funny how Dennis doesn’t criticize all the conservative writers on the right-wing blogs and websites for claiming that Mr. Gladney was “beaten” even none of them “were there” at the alleged “beating.” Consistency for him is like a cross for a vampire.

Calling it a fight Jaim seems to give it more credit than its worth. Seems more like a shoving match. Gladney was standing, man in blue shirt on ground. Then, blue shirt is up and Gladney is down. Gladney gets right up. What’s left of the tape shows him walking around. No blood, nothing. Subsequently, guy in white shirt claims and screams you beat my friend (or something like that). Other man in blue shirt keeps repeating “he pushed a minister, he pushed a minister”.
The big hole in the tape here is the 10-15 seconds before it starts. Where is it and why wasn’t that part of the clip? Because it would show Gladney pushing someone perhaps? That he was getting in someone’s face getting aggressive and started this??? C’mon – lets see the whole tape – not the ‘director’s cut’.

Funny, too, how you guys immediately defended Henry Gates right out of the shoot for being arrested for simply being black. The cop was racist from the get-go, just for showing up. People here called the lady who called it in a racist. But when a black conservative is beaten by an SEIU member, all of a sudden Oliver and all you guys are skeptical of the guy. Why doesn’t T-Bogg and Eric Boehlert pick up the phone and talk to the SEIU guys there in St. Louis and ask them what happened? Ask them what racist slur the guy called Gladney.

They’ll read a poorly researched and half-hearted attempt to debunk an instance of an account with witnesses of a conservative black man who was accosted and beaten by SEIU thugs who called him a racist slur, and then repeat it as if it’s the truth come down from the mountain…..

A few easy questions
1. As the video opens a man in a blue shirt (presumably a union member) is lying on the groud: a) how did he get there? b)was he surrounded by other people in blue shirts or protestors?; and c) why did the footage start just at this point and did not include the moments before when presumably one might be able to determine how the man in the blue shirt end up on the ground?
2. At what point in the tape (use the time stamp) did this ‘assault’ on Gladney occur?
3. Who pushed Gladney to the ground?
4. When Gladney was pushed to the ground how many people in blue shirts were standing next to him?
5. When Gladney was pushed to the ground did the person in the blue shirt who pushed him also fall to the ground?
6. Was the person who pushed Gladney to the ground assaulting Gladney or was he trying to keep people away from the man already on the ground?
7. What was the time stamp when Gladney hit the ground and what was the time stamp when he got up?
8. When he got up was he surrounded by so-called union thugs or by his fellow protestors?
9. Does the time he spent being pushed, falling to the ground and then getting up (4 seconds maybe) contstitute any evidence that he was beaten in any way?
10 After the 10 second mark is there any evidence that he was even touched by anyone other than his fellow protestors? If so – please provide the time stamp.
11. In the remaining time after the push, in those moments when Gladney was visible are there any indications, any evidence of injuries? Black eye, brusing on the face, blood? (He is no complaining of facial injuries).
12. During the tape on of the blue-shirted union members says repeatedly “he pushed a minister, he pushed a minister?” Was he referring to the man on the ground when the tape gets rolling.
13. Why hasn’t the person who took this video released the earlier portions?
14. Gladney did, apparently, go to a hospital to be examined. Will he authorize a release of the examination record so some evidence of his injuries can be documented by an independent source (i.e. the ER attendings)?
15. Gladney has been seen at further meetings in a wheelchair. Any indication from the tape that would show that his running around after the fall supports or detracts from his claim of injury?
16. Does the tape any where provide any evidence of racial slurs?
17. Was the man who pushed Gladney to the ground white and were there any black union members anywhere close to Gladney during the incident? If so – again – please place a time stamp.
A little objectivity in the review of the tape would be nice but I won’t hold my breath.

If last week a black liberal was beaten up by anyone, no matter how severe or how weakly, and called the n-word by thugs hired to do this kind of thing, would’ve had how many blog posts on here by now?
If someone was beaten up just minding their own business its a travesty. The problem is, in this case the story is iffy — at best. And black cons have a habit of dancing around as pets for conservatives, willing to say anything for a buck.
If you think Treacher is clever, you’re not trying hard enough. Honestly, conservatives have tons of material to work with and yet con humor almost always falls down.
Think about this, these slobbering angry mobs of impotent birther/teabagger losers are the types of people who will actually benefit from healthcare reform in the long run.

1. The charges will be dropped against the SEIU members for lack of evidence.
2. Gladney will be charged with disturbing the peace and/or inciting to riot.
