As Suicidal said, one down, dozens to go.

How about Chris Dodd and his sweetheart mortgage deals? Nope, can't investigate that.

Charlie Rangel and his unwillingness to pay his taxes? Nope, can't look there.

Dianne Feinstein and her shoveling literally billions in defense funds to her husband's companies? Nothing to see, move along.

John Murtha diverting millions to his biggest contributors, especially those canny enough to employ his family and staff? Just a wild coincidence.

Sarah Palin wore a jacket with a corporate logo to one of her husband's competitions? ZOMG!!!! Smithers, release the hounds!

Most. Ethical. Congress. EVAH.

As Oliver noted, Jefferson's greatest sin was not in being corrupt, but not being smart enough to hide it well. This was aggravated by not holding a position of power and influence so he could get others to cover for him.

matt621: It’s a concept called “cognitive dissonance.”

Very common among liberals.

Actually, it's recognizing that there will be rotten apples in any batch and being happy to see them go.

Very rare among conservatives.

Of course, the only lesson members of congress will learn from this episode is to hide bribe money somewhere other than the fridge.

How can you say things like that, while at the same time support them controlling more and more things?

The internment of Japanese Americans during WWII was pretty "corrupt" but Malkin wrote a book-length defense of it.

Yes, well bulk buying and a media blitz (aided by a "liberal media" that accepts Malkins claims as fact) has regularly pushed books to #1 on the list, its a far different matter to get people off their duffs and to drain the swamp.
