I find it pathetic when upper middle class white people allege “racism” when they don’t have a fucking clue what it means or how it feels to be a real victim of discrimination. But if we’re to be against discrimination we should be against it in all forms. So while I don’t doubt that every black person has experienced some racism at some point I wouldn’t be comfortable using that as a reason to ignore racism in the other direction.

Not saying that every “rich white fuck”‘s claim of reverse racism is valid. 99.9% of the time it isn’t. But the 1 in a thousand time shouldn’t be dismissed just because it only happens once in a thousand.

Had a discussion about the Gates incident with my boss over the weekend. He felt Obama was prejudiced against the cop. I said that I think Obama has a different perspective on race relations than the previous 43 presidents have had.
I also said something that sort of took him by surprise. Every single black person you have ever met has experienced racism at some point in their lives. Every single one. Do you think that that is a fair statement. Oliver? Sam? Randy Brown?
