Remember, We’re Totally Afraid Of Sarah Palin

Terrified.

Democrats, meanwhile, continue to express deeply negative opinions of Palin, with more than three-quarters expressing unfavorable views, including 56 percent who feel that way intensely. Among independents, 40 percent view her favorably and 51 percent unfavorably, the survey shows.

Perhaps more vexing for Palin’s national political aspirations, however, is that 57 percent of Americans say she does not understand complex issues, while 37 percent think she does, a nine-percentage-point drop from a poll conducted in September just before her debate with now-Vice President Biden. The biggest decline on the question came among Republicans, nearly four in 10 of whom now say she does not understand complex issues. That figure is 70 percent among Democrats and 58 percent among independents.

I have a secret vice. I go to F***Repub*** and search for “Palin.” They love her. They think she is a useful human being.

When Palin said that her resignation was for the good of Alaska, I couldn’t have agreed more.

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

    Also.

Complex issues? She couldn’t find her asshole with a funnel.

  3. Tai Nguyen says:

In other words, 37% of the nation doesn’t know who Sarah Palin is.

  4. mambochicken23 says:

Indeed: “Complex issues? She couldn’t find her asshole with a funnel.”

    Awesome.

“You’re the most intelligent person in the world”-Greta Van Surgery to Palin

I confess to the same vice. I’ve yet to find a deeper and richer well of unintentional hilarity.

  7. GarySeven says:

Personally I might be afraid of Sarah Palin if, say she was in the same room as me. Politically however, I have never been afraid of her. Nothing makes the teabaggers more crazy then when a liberal says Palin was the greatest gift to the Democrats, and she was.

    –Repack Rider

I don’t know about this site you guys admit to having a secret vice for, but tell me what is so wrong about thinking someone else, anyone else, is a useful human being?

Why is it you guys think only certain people are useful human beings? I’m trying to understand the liberal viewpoint but I’ll never understand that type of arrogance.

  9. Duros62 says:

I don’t know about this site you guys admit to having a secret vice for,

    I’m sure you don’t.

This time next year she will be a minute:40 on VH1’s I Love the 2000’s!

  10. Burn says:

Just waiting for Diva Sarah to go Birther on us.

    You know it’s coming…

  11. Wilbur says:

Invective tends to hyperbole, Dennis. For instance:

–Complex issues? She couldn’t find her asshole with a funnel.

    – No, if you gave her a funnel and drew her hand around to her derrierre region and said “Sarah, your asshole is in there” she would still stick the funnel on her elbow and say “is this my asshole?”

Now if you think that is confined to, or more prevelant on, the liberal side of things, you are sadly mistaken. Or do you visit sites like F.R., LGF, etc. and preach at them too?

  12. Indeed says:

  14. Repack Rider says:

Why is it you guys think only certain people are useful human beings?

Because some are useless. Palin does nothing to advance anything important. Was that a trick question?

I’m trying to understand the liberal viewpoint…

No, you’re not. You’re trying to mock it.

…but I’ll never understand that type of arrogance.

I guess you have never listened to Rush Limbaugh.

  15. Duros62 says:

Or do you visit sites like F.R., LGF, etc. and preach at them too?

He’s actually claiming no to know what this refers to, looks like.

  16. icruise says:

The thing is, even if Sarah Palin were on the left I would hate her. The fact that I disagree with almost everything she believes in is the cherry on top, I guess, but I find her to be a thoroughly disagreeable person. The more I learn about her and her past, the less I like her.

  17. Repack Rider says:

Strictly for entertainment value, here are ACTUAL QUOTES from nutwing blogs.

By the time the commielibs and Obama get finished destroying the economy Sarah will have a cakewalk. I predict 50 states and 57%+ margin.

I can’t wait until the lipstick-wearing pit bull is off her leash and can truly speak her mind. Go Sarah!

The optimism around here about a potential Palin candidacy is enough to lift, briefly, the veil of my constant political cynicism.
    Palin/Jindal?

I know a lot of libs. They are getting scared.

This is why the Dems are making her public enemy #1. The dirty secret is that this is a conservative country overall and when Republicans put a conservative candidate on any ticket they win. This especially will be attractive in 2012 when we have been going down the Obama socialist path.

Sarah will be FREE to go after the liberals and speak her mind! IT IS GONNA BE GREAT!!!!!

We lose a governor and gain a POTUS in 2012 (God willing)

  18. I for one cannot wait until Palin wins the GOP nomination in 2012; if she’s the best they’ve got, you can guess the outcome of the Presidential election.

  19. ‘Greta Van Surgery’

    Sweet.

  20. ‘I don’t know about this site you guys admit to having a secret vice for, but tell me what is so wrong about thinking someone else, anyone else, is a useful human being?’

The same thing that’s wrong with crossing the street without waiting for a green light or looking both ways first; it’s very very dangerous and misguided in her case.

‘Why is it you guys think only certain people are useful human beings? I’m trying to understand the liberal viewpoint but I’ll never understand that type of arrogance.’

Eight years of BushCo, and you think Liberals are arrogant?

    Come on now.

Yeah, kinda scary. I’m all for the 1st amendment, but someone really should invent a seperate Internet for that dufus bulls%^&t

  22. Dennis says:

Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, Glass Houses and Stones

Biden Favorability Trails Obama and Recent VPs

PRINCETON, NJ — In contrast to U.S. President Barack Obama, whose current favorable rating among Americans is similar to what it was just after the November election, Vice President Joe Biden has seen some erosion in his rating. As a result, Biden lags significantly behind Obama in popularity, and, at this stage of the new administration, has the lowest favorable rating of any of the most recent vice presidents…..

    Bottom Line

Biden is not keeping up with Obama in popularity, and this distinguishes him from the previous two vice presidents, whose public images generally kept pace with those of their respective presidents. At this stage of the Bush and Clinton presidencies, both sitting vice presidents — Cheney and Gore, respectively — had favorable ratings very similar to those of the presidents with whom they served, and lower unfavorables.

Biden’s image problem has been in evidence only since the inauguration, as his favorable ratings since January have been close to or greater than 20 points lower than Obama’s; around election time, Biden trailed the president by fewer than 10 points.
    ——————–

Not a good sign for Team Obama. Attacking Sarah Palin for sport is good food for some, but it doesn’t make the country any better, nor apparently does it make the current administration look any better.

And certainly it doesn’t make liberals look any better.

  23. ‘And certainly it doesn’t make liberals look any better.’

It’s not doing Palin much good either, apparently.

    Palin/Reagan 2012.

  24. Dennis says:

Like I stated in the post, Oh ye of Canadian citizenship, glass houses and stones. Biden is as much of a train wreck as Sarah Palin is, or ever would’ve been as VP. As both Biden and Obama continue to falter in the polls, you guys here ignore that and only ramp up the ridicule on Palin.

    Look inward, jrfunk.

  25. Indeed says:

you guys here ignore that and only ramp up the ridicule on Palin.

No, just at posts mocking Palin.

Oh, and sorry, but Biden–unimpressive as he is–can’t touch Palin for train wreckitute. Let’s got to the videotape one more time:

Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

  26. Repack Rider says:

Biden is not keeping up with Obama in popularity,

    Two words for you.

    Dick Cheney.

  27. Repack Rider says:

    Two more words:

    “Moose, bitches!”

  28. Repack Rider says:

Another gem from the nutwing site:

Can’t you just look forward and imagine a 2012 Presidential Debate between a sharp, straight talking Sarah and a ramblin’ mamblin’ stammerin’ Obama?

    That’s what I’m TALKIN’ about!

  29. ‘Biden is as much of a train wreck as Sarah Palin is, or ever would’ve been as VP’

The only difference being that Palin is only dreaming of something she is wholly unqualified for, while Biden actually is VP.

And if you’re so convinced that only Americans should be commenting on US politics, I’m sure we’re never going to hear your views on Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere else that you’re not a citizen of, are we?

It’s not like you’ve ever offered your opinion on, I don’t know, the Canadian health care system, right?

Look outward; there’s a big ass world out there.

  30. Dennis says:

    That’s what I’m TALKIN’ about!
    –RePack Rider

RePack, you took your shirt off and pulled down your pants in front of two police officers and then brag about it on here. You’re a freak.

With regards to Sarah Palin, the mirror is not your friend, my friend.

  31. Dennis says:

The only difference being that Palin is only dreaming of something she is wholly unqualified for, while Biden actually is VP.

You’re saying this on a blog where the owner and many of it’s regular commenters said Biden was a racist and a farkin’ idiot, jrfunky. Biden’s poll numbers are only normalizing, going back to the point about a year and a half ago when no one voted for him for the job he dreamed about. Have some fun and peruse this or any of your other favorite liberal blogs back in late 2007 to up until the time he dropped out of the race for president and see what the overall consensus was for Biden among the reality-based community.

  32. Parthenon says:

Biden is as much of a train wreck as Sarah Palin is, or ever would’ve been as VP.

    Wow!

  33. Indeed says:

You’re saying this on a blog where the owner and many of it’s regular commenters said Biden was a racist and a farkin’ idiot, jrfunky.

And the same commenters said worse about Palin (almost certainly because she’s a fucking disaster). And last I checked, Biden is Veep and Palin is still a disaster. Also.

But keep the false equivalences, attempted distraction, and Rush Limbaugh (et al) defense coming. That’s apparently all you’re capable of. Also.

  34. Repack Rider says:

RePack, you took your shirt off and pulled down your pants in front of two police officers and then brag about it on here. You’re a freak.

And then beat them in court when the judge agreed with me that the CHP officer he was a liar. Don’t leave that out. Even my criminal defense attorney friends were astonished that a guy with a HS education could do that. Of course, it helps to be right.

I would like to know who YOU would deal with a police officer who plans to violate your Fourth Amendment rights with a “frisk” in violation of the standard set by Terry v. Ohio (SCOTUS 1968). Once you get “frisked,” you can’t get “un-frisked.” It’s like rape. It can’t be undone, so you have to prevent it.

As the Supreme Court found, a “frisk” is often used to for no other reason except to humiliate the subject, but my actions humiliated the officer instead. It was one of the most delicious moments of my life to turn the tables on a deputy intent on violating my rights. The court victory was the dessert.

  35. ‘You’re saying this on a blog where the owner and many of it’s regular commenters said Biden was a racist and a farkin’ idiot, jrfunky.’

Whoa Den-Den; you’re the one comparing him unfavorably to Sarah I Quit On Your Behalf Palin.

I’d still take him over Meet My Buckshot Cheney.
