Suddenly They’re Concerned About Fear Mongering

Almost 8 years of Bush saying OMG TEH TERRISTS ARE UNDER YER BEDS SO GIVES ME TEH POWERZ and nary a peep, yet Obama says some mean things about the abusive powers of the insurance lobby and Michelle Malkin and company scream OMG THE FEAR HE MONGERS!!!

Conservatives have a credibility problem that the devil would find troubling.

Malkin? Seriously? She’s a joke. Her constant whining and incoherant babble make me wonder who takes her seriously. Her hotwind website couldn’t be any more tailored for the ignorant masses. Quack quack socialism btw…

  2. Buzz Killington says:

Well, since you didn’t like it before, does that mean you agree with her and just dislike that it’s her saying it? Or are you ok with fear mongering now, which would give you the same credibility problem?

  3. mjk says:

Do you really have any idea what your saying? Have you read any of this bill? If you had, unlike Obama admittedly said he did not, you would see the disaster coming ahead of us. This is not about preserving the Obama Presidency. It is about doing the right thing for the American people. This will wind up hurting the poor the most. Read the bill…read the bill…read the bill…obviously liberals have not learned to educate themselves with the facts first. We wouldn’t be in a mess is some of you agreed to Read the bill when the wonderful Stimulus was passed.

  4. Wilbur says:

Buzz, a third possibility is that Oliver doesn’t think what Obama was doing was fear mongering, but is amused by Malkin’s hypocrisy since she does (or at least claims to do so for the sake of attacking the president).

  5. joaquin says:

Oliver is comparing insurance companies to a legitimate terrorist threat. Ok. Have at it, big fella.

  6. jr says:

“talk about socialism”-unemployed since 2003 Jesse Malkin to Michelle

  7. Wilbur says:

joaquin, the juggernaut of rising health-care costs, fueled substantially by the profit motive of corporate insurance, health providers and pharma, is a far bigger threat to the American Way than any terrorist has ever been. If we continue with the status quo, 9/11 will seem like a pinprick in comparison.

  8. Rheinhard says:

America’s insurance nightmare is little different than the terrorist threat, save that it kills Americans by spreadsheets instead of bombs.

  9. freD says:

Did somebody say terrorism and health care? I can see the rank and file conservative’s point of view.

Bush’s people marketed the Iraq adventure as absolutely necessary and cheap, and it’s been neither. So now Obama’s marketing the health care plan as absolutely necessary and initially expensive but with trade offs, and instead of costing trillions it cost… billions?

    Sorry. Carry on.
