You may remember Zell for his support of the Iraq War and George W. Bush. Well, for some reason he’s talking again.
Former U.S. Sen. Zell Miller criticized President Barack Obama’s recent travels overseas, telling a group of mostly Republican lawmakers Thursday that the White House Chief of Staff needs to put ‘Gorilla Glue’ on Obama’s chair to keep him in the Oval Office.
‘Our globe-trotting president needs to stop and take a break and quit gallivanting around,’ said Miller, a Democrat well known for zinging his own party.
Two black leaders who know Miller well said they were not offended by the suggestion that Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel employ a bottle of Gorilla brand adhesive.”
Perhaps Zell should use the glue on his lips. SPITBALLS!!!

While I’ve got a lot of problems with Republican Colin Powell, perhaps the Democratic Party can trade Zell Miller for Powell?
The Dems could even throw in Terry McAuliffe and Lanny Davis to sweeten the deal.

that said, yes indeed Zell Miller is a fucking idiot.
I feel like this one might be nitpicking. Gorilla Glue is good stuff, I use it to hold my glasses together and a billion other things. It’s damn useful and very strong. If I had to think of something to use to keep a badass like obama in place, I think it might be the brand I pick to.
That being said, the idea is idiotic. The guy has a blackberry. Why does he even need a desk or an office?

I seem to remember a certain president who spent an awful lot of time gallivanting around a fake-ass “ranch,” cutting brush, and wrestling with pretzles… What was his name again, and why didn’t his ass sit the hell down behind that desk Zell seems to like so much?
Funny that Zell Miller has a problem with Obama traveling, but didn’t with his predecessor taking more vacation days than any other president in history.
Republican President Bush took more vacations than any President in America’s history.
And Republican Bush took nearly all of those vacations during a time of multiple wars.

I use Gorilla Glue, too. And I’m completely serious when I say I’ve used it on black chairs, in front of black friends, and those black friends have sat in those black chairs (after the glue dried, of course).
This one doesn’t offend me, as it is an actual product that is pretty well known for being a powerful adhesive.
Since it’s an actual product, I don’t think Miller was being racist here; having said that, the broader point that he was trying to make is still stupid since all presidents travel around the world. He never criticized President Bush for doing the same thing. Miller has become so hopelessly biased against his own party that there’s no good reason for him to remain a Democrat.

Jrfunk, I gotta disagree with you there. They would welcome his crazy into their own crazy and claim that the fact that he went Republican is proof that the Democrats are failing.
The fact that he would vote with his old party over allot of things would not matter so long as they had a symbolic victory. Of course I’d like it if my party stopped funding his war chest and supported an actual Democrat but since I am getting allot of what I want from my government these days I can’t complain that my party’s big tent is big enough to fit crazies.
