<blockquote>You ignored it because you were proven wrong and you don’t want to admit it. </blockquote>

How in God's name was I proven wrong? The quote I attributed to Boehner was correct. You tried to say it could not be correct because he was not credible, so you later used blog posts from dishonest liberal bloggers that sidestepped the fallacious 8% unemployment figure as proof that he was wrong. Then now later you admit that number (and quote) was correct by Boehner.

I have no idea what your point is or why you think it merits an apology. You are proving apples are red to my statement that oranges are orange and agreeing with my statement about oranges but demanding an apology that your statement about apples was correct, too. But your statement about apples has nothing whatsoever to do with my statement about oranges.

Dennis the Bigot: "I ignored your second Boehner reply because..."

You ignored it because you were proven wrong and you don't want to admit it.

And you are attacking me for not apologizing for calling you stupid, even though I admitted I was wrong on the facts.

You care more about the insults than the facts.

It's classic style over substance.

"Every one of those blog posts had to do with Boehner’s asertion that the stimulus hadn’t either worked it’s way to Ohio’s coffers or had not produced a single job in Ohio."

That's what I said he said, and you claimed I was wrong.

So what's the issue?

"Dennis", if you were capable of learning something the first time it wouldn't require repeating things over and over and over.

At times I'm convinced you can't possibly be as stupid as you come across and are actually just a pathological liar without any sense of ethics.

Whether you are stupid or simply unethical, either makes you a perfect Republican troll.

You falsely cited Republican liar John Boehner, who lies as often as he breathes, and then you continued to lie about the stimulus that Ohio is receiving.

The first time you tell a falsehood, "Dennis", the assumption can be that you are simply mistaken, the third, tenth and fify-first time you tell a falsehood after being repeatedly corrected, clearly shows that you are either incredibly stupid (which I've always conceded was possible) or a flat out liar (which is my assumption).

But as I've said, it's certainly possible that you are a stupid liar, which makes you a perfect Republican follower.

<blockquote>But “Dennis” has regularly sided with racist posters so his serial distraction to avoid the viciousness of right wingers racist attacks on black children is just one more example of who he, “Dennis”, is, and how a despicable sub-element of the right wing operate.</blockquote>

I don't side with racist posters, whoever the racist posters were in this case. But the guy who wrote the article in question is a confirmed racist, and you are siding with him. I don't side with him, and I don't side with anyone, no matter liberal or conservative, who made racist statements or attacked this young girl.

You're the one siding with the racist, Newsie. Chris Parry is a racist, has made racist epithets, and has recruited other liberals to make racist epithets in order to falsely accuse conservatives of racism.

YOU ARE SIDING WITH HIM!

Look in the mirror, my friend.

See now, Newsie, don't you think it's just a bit bizarre of you to come in this nice conversation Strowbridge and I are having, only to provide a link about Boehner that Strowbridge already listed four times already from differing sources? This blog post is so far off the radar from the main page, but you sniff me out and feel the desire to come down here to provide essentially nothing to a conversation you're not the least bit a part of.

You wouldn't think that that was stalking, would you? Or even the least bit strange on your part.

Of course you wouldn't.

Republican John Boehner makes false statements as a function of his Republican leadership.

Republican Boehner's most recent lie was his false claim that Ohio hadn't received stimulus projects when in fact there were dozens of Ohio stimulus projects that had gotten stimulus money.

<i>"According to research organizations, including PolitiFact and the Cleveland Plain Dealer, 52 projects worth $84 million were lined up to boost Ohio’s economy at the time of <a href="http://talkradionews.com/2009/07/ohio-democratic-party-officials-boehner-lied-about-state-not-receiving-stimulus-contracts/" rel="nofollow">Boehner’s [false] public statements.</a>"</i>

------
That a violent right wing troll like "Dennis" has to use personal attacks and serial distortion to evade the issues has become commonplace amongst the bulk of the right wing.

But "Dennis" has regularly sided with racist posters so his serial distraction to avoid the viciousness of right wingers racist attacks on black children is just one more example of who he, "Dennis", is, and how a despicable sub-element of the right wing operate.

<blockquote>By the way, are you willing to do the same? You said I was wrong about John Boehner, yet I’ve posted links that prove I was right. You ignored those links. Why is that?</blockquote>

You're a strange one, Strowbridge.

I ignored your second Boehner reply because it made no sense, and it had nothing at all to do with the argument I made. I said if Boehner had made a false assertion about what the Obama administration made about the stimulus' effect on unemployment, that it wouldn't go above 8%, that Obama had never said that as you asserted, that every liberal blog and it's liberal cousin would be howling about it, including OW here.

Every one of those blog posts had to do with Boehner's asertion that the stimulus hadn't either worked it's way to Ohio's coffers or had not produced a single job in Ohio. None of them said the 8% figure was false. Only one of them even put that part of the dialogue from Boehner in their blog post, and surprisingly, it was Media Matters. I've posted at the blog of the last post you listed for going on four years now, and there are some fine people that I've become friends with and some good, honest bloggers there, but the one from the link you provided is not one of them. She didn't even mention the 8% figure. She makes Media Matters and the dishonest tactics they employ look objective and almost conservative by comparison to her blog posts.

If I called you a vulgar slur and I was wrong about something you said that was the reason for the slur, I would apologize on both counts. This isn't a case like that, not even on the same planet. I never implied Boehner has never said anything that no liberal blog wouldn't find a way to take him to task on, I said if he had lied about the 8% number, and offense far greater than saying no jobs in Ohio had been created when in fact a whopping 52 jobs, depending on one's criteria for inclusion in that statistic, had been created, believe me, far more than the four examples you listed would've been screaming blood murder. As it was, they all tried to make a mountain out of a molehill... which was no more than the typical distraction tactics dishonest liberal bloggers like the ones you listed will do to keep other libs from focusing on the 8% lie the Obama administration heaped on the public to pass this abomination.

And that tactic worked on you, Strowbridge. As closely as you follow our political system, bizarre as that is for you, you didn't have the first clue about them having thrown out that 8% figure. Not then, and not even after we hit 9.5% unemploymnet. Liberal blogs don't tend to bring those kinds of things up.

But your one apology is accepted, and like I said, that's not a bad first step for you, all things considered.

Me: "I will admit you were right and I was wrong on this point, but I won’t apologize for insulting you.
I would rather be an honest asshole than a polite liar."

Why should I apologize? I already admitted I was wrong, isn't that the important part?

Oh Jesus Christ. You called me a mother fucker. Do I get to call you a liar because of that?

You're are an asshole, but you're hardly an honest asshole. You're also a liar, but you're not even remotely polite. So you can say you'd rather be an asshole than a liar, but the descriptives should never be associated with you in any way.

<blockquote>There seems to be a philosophy in Washington, and on Wall Street, that the people who screw up the most are the ones who have the experience needed to fix the problems that they caused.</blockquote>

Except that you don't know what you're talking about on that, nor do you offer and real solutions. Obama appoints a clown with no automotive experience for his automotive czar, and then he just up and quits. So that ain't workin' out so hot either.

It's easy to say what you said. It's not so easy to come up with acceptable alternatives. You can keep quoting Krugman all you want, but his practical experience consists of advising Enron. Why doesn't Obama recruit him for something practical besides his being a de facto sloganeer czar since you guys think he walks on water?

Me: "Obama’s economic team was fucking retarded if they thought unemployment wasn’t going to go above 8.8%. Krugman figured it would hit at least 10%."

Dennis: "Yeah, well, that’s how they had to package it and sell it."

Again, this was fucking retarded. If anything, they should have <I>over</I>stated the problems, then they would have looked like miracle workers when it was mere a disaster.

"Those are the things you and quite a few people here mocked me and and others who argued that Obama then was just being more of the smooth talker he was when he was campaigning."

Really? We said the economy was better than people were reporting? I don't recall ever saying that. If anything, I was saying the opposite and saying the stimulus needed to be much bigger.

I recall saying that the stimulus was working and there were signs that the economy was going to improve, but I've said from the beginning that it wouldn't bottom out till late 2009 / early 2010.

"Talking down the economy when it suited him to get the seriousness of the situation out to the public, bashing Republicans and Rush Limbaugh at the time, and then overselling the effects of the stimulus and the immediate impact to the economy and the jobs situation if we rushed it through."

Except this was before the stimulus was passed, and his 'worst case scenario' was hopelessly optimistic.

There was never any chance unemployment wasn't going to hit 10%.

There was a chance unemployment was going to hit 20 to 25%. In fact, it could still get there.

Did they screw the pooch on this one? Yes. Their predictions were inaccurate.

But the motivations you are assigning them are wrong. If they were looking to score political points, they should have overstated the problem even more and underestimated how much the stimulus would have helped.

'The stimulus is needed to avert total disaster. It is needed to prevent the nation from going into a depression worse than what was seen in the 1930s. However, recovery will be long and slow, and we must work over the next few years to build an economy that is fundamentally strong so when our nation returns to prosperity, we do not repeat the cycles of boom and bust again.'

It's not like the Republicans could filibuster the stimulus, as the Democrats could have pushed it through with just 51 votes using reconciliation. (I believe that's the right term. We are getting into some pretty heavy Wonk territory here.)

Me: "But you are correct regarding their prediction."

Dennis: "Annnnnd……your statement that “The problem is you are fucking stupid and are mixing up two different things”?

Go ahead, Strowbridge, you can do it. I’m sure your mom taught you how to do it sincerely."

I still think you are fucking stupid, so apologizing for calling you that would be insincere and a lie.

I will admit you were right and I was wrong on this point, but I won't apologize for insulting you.

I would rather be an honest asshole than a polite liar.

Dennis, you and CS have kinda bogarded the discussion, but that's okay, 'cause now I'm interested in one of the subplots (even though you tangented off into unemployment stats and michelle malkin???)...
would really enjoy an answer to this previous question from C.S.Strowbridge:
-------------------------
Again, to emphasize…

Dennis the Bigot claims there is no video of the incident, so Southern Quaker and I could not have possibly seen the show in question.

However, he provides a link that he thinks proves it never happened.

Either there’s no evidence either way, or people have seen it.

Which is it, Dennis?
-------------------------

I saw that Limbaugh show also (sorry, don't have any affadavits or notary to substantiate the timehack) I don't think it was a psycho-lib-hater attack, seemed to me, he was just going for the cheap laugh (like the real comedy tv shows)...Farley in a dress as a fat chelsea clinton, stupid but funny; rush monologue about clinton pets with pictures of chelsea mixed in, sorry, not funny (memo to RL: leave the comedy to the professionals, you conservo-fatass...)

Obama's problem is that he keeps listening to conservative centrists who don't have a clue and are too embedded with the corporate-financial-industry (Summers, Geithner, Republican Bush's Bernanke...).

Lefty economists knew that the <b>Republican 2007 Great Recession</b> was and is much worse than right wing corporatists have been saying.

Lefty economists have been consistently correct and consistently ignored.

Paul Krugman

Robert Reich

Brad DeLong

Dean Baker

(The short list)

If right winger "Dennis" wants to distract the issue of right wing racism with the <b>Republican 2007 Great Recession</b> he's not going to like the facts any more than the fact of right winger's racism.
