Whatever Happened To Hank Paulson?

hank paulson

For some reason I have been wondering these last few days: what the heck happened to Hank Paulson? The former Wall Street Wizard for Goldman Sachs turned Secretary Of The Treasury under George W. Bush, he presided over the near-economic collapse of the United States. Not many treasury secretaries can profess to such things.

Not only that, but by allowing Lehman Brothers to fail he probably made the whole thing worse – not to mention not ringing the alarm bells at treasury to get Bush-appointee Chris Cox at the SEC to do his job.

In the transition to Tim Geithner, I’m curious where Paulson slinked off to. Much like with the FBI after 9/11, I think congress would be within its purview to find out – from his perspective – what the hell happened?

What happened to Paulson? Judging by this photo, I’d guess “zipper accident.”

    UFO came back for him…

  3. Well after finagling a multi-billion dollar government handout to his corporate cronies at Goldman Sachs I’d think Republican Hank Paulson be reveling in his, uhm, reward.

“Reward” being merely the glow of being a good Republican politician of course.

It’s not like Republican Hank Paulson left US “on the hook” for trillions of dollars before he skipped out of town

… oh, wait, yeah, he did…

    Maybe it’s something else.

Now y’ll folks don’t suspect Paulson of being involved in yet more economic hanky panky do you.

“… he presided over the LOOTING of the United States… by allowing Lehman Brothers to fail he DESTROYED A COMPETITOR… not to mention COLLUSION WITH Bush-appointee Chris Cox at the SEC…”
    Corrected.
