You never let minute points that may be incorrect slide when a conservative does it, such as Monica Lewinsky not technically being an intern at the time of her banging by the President. Privateering is not one of the more admirable examples of private enterprise, AO. If you want to extoll the virtues of capitalsim, cheering piracy might not be the best way to go.

Then our Navy destroyed the Brit fleet and the Redcoats retreated deep into your country. But the battle on the sea wasn’t only on the lakes. Our Navy wasn’t much but a couple guys did well. You ever hear of man named John Paul Jones? He was a ballsy charactor, full of fight.

The Brits gave up their agressive ways and both sides retired to Europe to work out a peace treaty. Communications being what they were, the word didn’t get to Andy Jackson. He went down the Missippi and killed Redcoats till the rifle barrels turned red. The war was over by then but we didn’t know. We killed them anyhow. Britain never did a damn thing about it. We got a song out of that one too.

Britain finally put the squeeze on Napolean and we bought up the French holdings on the cheap. But that’s another story.
