Letterman used the lack of attendance at the anti-Dave “rally” as a springboard for jokes at the protesters’ expense.
Conservatives don’t do humor like professionals do it. It must be genetic.
I love at the end, when the woman shouts that David Lettermen will rape your children with his mouth, the guy behind her begins to attack his friend and with his mouth, presumably to rape him with it.
those morans should get a brain…
I’m not sure when this blog’s author was praised by Ken Layne for presenting a de-fanged version of the fanatic left, but that time has clearly come and gone. Gloating about such apolitical and harmless events with such smug satisfaction clearly reveals a spite-filled individual motivated by hate and malice.
“those morans should get a brain…”
LULZ
lol!
I really can’t imagine what it must be like to be that frickin crazy. I suspect that it would take a massive head wound to find out.
I like this guy:
INTERVIEWER: “What do you think about David Letterman?”
CHUBBY FACE CONFUSED LOOKING GUY: “I… I, uh… I only watch Fox News.”
The Republican Party of the Dixie Confederate Baptist Free Market Uprising, New York Division.
‘Imagine making a rape joke about a 14 year old girl sitting on the sidelines of a basketball game!’
Wow; all that outrage and this woman didn’t get a single element of the non-story correct.
Priceless.
Of COURSE they like Jay. Tha pretty much says everything about Dave vs Jay.
thawed out cavemen and women
Can we all just agree now that what’s left of the American right wing is a spittle-mouthed Jim Jones Kool-aid/comet cult? Better opposition parties, please!
Are you sure Letterman didn’t hire those people?
These must be the people from “real America” that Palin so fondly speaks of.
Wow; all that outrage and this woman didn’t get a single element of the non-story correct.
Well, Letterman may not have *meant* to joke about Willow, but he did. I have no problem giving him the benefit of the doubt that he thought it was Bristol, but it was Willow at the game, so the joke was about Willow. He should have just owned up to his mistake right away, but eventually his pride subsided and he did.
They people in the video are crazy, though.
Anybody else having trouble with the video?
Leno had said and joked about the same thing and just as “graphic”. Right wing trailer trash paranoid diatribe (that’ll confuse them)
“. . . but it was Willow at the game, so the joke was about Willow.”
Logic Fail.
Duros62, I had a problem getting through it without laughing. Quaker in a Basement may be on to something; this does look like a Letterman man-in-the-street segment. Too damn funny.
If you watch it with the sound turned down, it looks like a public service announcement about the dangers of inbreeding.
The video didn’t work for me either, “Duros62″.
Anyone see a copy on YouTube?
Ha ha! This is hilarious! I have been looking for this clip for a few days now. Thanks! I looked on YT-couldn’t find it. Just some old dude talking about how much better Jay L is!(what is this thing about Jay Leno and these people?!)
Anyway I also enjoyed the two guys teasing the lady in background as she made the “rape with his mouth” statement!
“. . . but it was Willow at the game, so the joke was about Willow.”
Logic Fail.
Exactly. And by the way, has anyone asked Alex Rodriguez his thoughts on the subject? I mean, the brunt of the joke was on him knocking up Bristol or, in wingnut speak, butt raping a 14 year old.
But he’s no where to be found. Odd, that.
‘Top ten things overheard at fire Dave rally’
Heh!-)
Thanks, News.
“…his bastard son and his slut wife.”
Nice.
Everyone, in the country…so, that ‘Somepeople’ guy has a first name. Don’t you need cable to get Letterman out in the country? I’m pretty sure I heard that Everyone Somepeople went Garp, so he no longer has cable. Right?
No, what does schmuck mean in Jewish?
[...] The whole 15 people who showed up the Palin-supporter anti-Letterman “protest.” HA! [...]
@Duros62
Since News Referenece found a good feed for the video, this is just for possible future use. I couldn’t make the clip here show anything, but I saw a tiny display that said Waiting for ad.doubleclick.net. Made me wonder, so I disabled Privoxy and reloaded that page, and the video played OK. I’d assume that the same could hold for any proxy that protects you from brain-eating Google-owned zombies and the like.
Then I had to disable it again and kill cookies. PITA. But the next time I have something that just won’t load and play, I might try letting doubleclick make a brief contact with my computer, if it seems worth that high price.

I agree his ‘joke’ whomever it was directed at, was in incredibly poor taste, and Letterman, perhaps not immediately, did apologize just a few days after the controversy heated up, not once but twice, as a direct result of Palin fanning the flames.
I have yet to hear ANYONE on the Right publicly denounce the racist email sent by Senator Diane Black’s aide that slandered President Obama.
After listening to Conservatives across the country lose their minds about Letterman, the hypocrisy of the silence regarding that vile email is stunning.
‘If you watch it with the sound turned down, it looks like a public service announcement about the dangers of inbreeding.’
Hilarious.
Logic fail, eh? So if some random guy did something stupid, but I thought you did it, and I made fun of you for doing it, I wouldn’t be making fun of you for doing it?
Logic fail, indeed.

I have an ad blocker running on firefox. Didn’t even occur to me.
Ah. Works now.
