Drudge pushes out story that doesn’t remotely pass the smell test, conservatives flock to it. So gullible.

Con bloggers and radio hosts are too busy going to cross burnings to do research so they let the fedoraist do it for them
Obama Broadcasting Company.
The Drudge Report is — how can I put this nicely — a has-been.
Big surprise there…idiot wingnuts react like some mindless zombie horde whenever their heroes Drudge and Rush speak.
It’s quite obvious just who the zombie hordes are that react when Drudge and Rush speak, Burn. You can set your watch by it.
Lame, Dennis. You’re as lazy as a Christian rock band. You cannot just copy something and change a few words around.
At least try some originality or creativity, if it’s within you.
Then again, I remember the junior GOP losers I went to high school with who wore fucking suits and ties to class. They got crappy grades in art class…very little imagination.
Let me see here, Obama is going to have ABC broadcast his side of the healthcare plan from the Whitehouse and the Republicans won’t be allowed to present thier case. ABC will have full editorial control over the audiance and the questions they ask. So which part was Drudge exagerating?
All my facts above came from the abc link that Oliver provided. Once again Oliver seems to be dealing in deliberate deception with his lede and his link.
and that journalism in the US is simply an arm of the Obama propaganda administration
Awww, Peedro. I can take it when you parrot NRO or Hot Air or even the PowerLosers. But trotting out Rushisms? I thought even you had higher standards than that.
Hold on there, AO. Isn’t it your team that keeps hollering that “equal time” is a mortal offense against the First Amendment?
Nice try Quaker,
I’m not talking about the fairness doctrine I’m pointing out that Olivers lede and the story are once again in conflict. The facts of the case strongly support Drudge’s position.
I know you don’t believe that the media takes sides in politics. That they are a bold watchdog ever vigilent for governmental misdeeds. That ABC will be extremely careful to have a balanced view of an important thing like turning over 15% of the economy to the whims of the Democrats. But others are not as trusting as you. Call them paranoid if you will.
Are any of the right wingers here more dishonest than “Amused Observer”?
I think “Amused Observer” often beats the dishonesty of right wingers “Dennis” and “Jay Tea” combined.
News,
I’m sure you must have a very logical point to make based on my posts. What is it?
“usualsuspect”: “Do you mean to tell me that you truly believe that the media is an unbiased observer?”
Republicans have their own TV channel: FOX.
Republicans are represented on the radio 9 to 1.
Republicans views are pushed almost exclusively on CNBC.
Republicans have had an actual Republican politician (Scaredborough) push Republican views for three hours a day on MSNBC for years before three hours were provided to “balance” the Republican.
Republican Karl Rove’s dance partner David Gregory pushes right wing viewpoints on NBC’s influential Sunday program ‘Meet the Press’.
CBS’s Sunday show ‘Face the Nation’ is run by right wing sycophant Bob Schieffer.
ABC’s Sunday show ‘This Week’ still brings on global warming denying right wing fool George Will.
Even PBS and NPR took a hard right wing turn under Republican Bush. Republican insurance salesperson Gwen Ifill pushes right wing commentary on PBS NewsHour and Judy Woodruff brings on two Republicans to discuss both ‘sides’.
And Republicans and right wingers own as many newspapers and magazines in the country, and arguably more, than anyone else.
The ‘media’ overwhelmingly pushes a right wing corporatist point of view.
And right wingers still find trivial reasons to whine that they don’t get ‘fair’ ‘equal time’.
Republican’s First Rule: Rules Are For Other People
A news organization is going to interview the President. What is the world coming to?
Stricken as non-responsive.
Not INTERVIEW the president, run a multi-hour special that is supposed to present unbiased news reporting regarding a fundamental change in how this country is run. And do it on the home turf of the chief cheerleader for that program.
Once again, you think this is the most unbiased way to present this information?
This is not journalism it’s propaganda. Much like what Oliver does but on a larger scale with better production values.
For eight years Republican President Bush held press conferences and interviews and even powwows with a long list of journalists including extreme right wing radio hosts about the entire range of his policies.
There was never a peep out of the right wing about it. But now the usual ignorant right wingers have a different set of rules for Dems to live up to. It’s ALWAYS Right Winger’s First Rule: Rules Are For Other People.
And even though right wing corporate shills own and control (arguably) well over half the news media, the usual right wing trolls have to claim some imaginary bias against their fictional positions.
Well, I’ll concede that any legitimate news organization has a bias against fictional positions and since right wing positions are overwhelmingly fictional positions it makes it easy for right wingers to claim ‘bias’ against legitimate news organizations.
It’s why right wingers love FOX so much, it’s NOT a legitimate organization, it’s nothing more than the equivalent of Hezbollah TV.
Right winger “usualsuspect” is the usual ignorant right winger that thinks that because occasional facts seep through the main stream news that those occasional facts have some kind of liberal bias.
TO right wingers, having the TeeVee talk about evolution is ‘left wing bias’.
TO right wingers, having the TeeVee talk about observable global climate change is ‘left wing bias’.
TO right wingers, having the TeeVee talk about how vast amounts of corporate money distorts American democracy is ‘left wing bias’.
Facts are ‘left wing bias’ to right wingers.
Scientific evidence is ‘left wing bias’ to right wingers.
And so here the right winger is demanding that the right wing get equal time to push fictions.
Does that mean liberals will get equal time on the right wing FOX network or get equal time on the 9 out of 10 talk radio stations owned by a handful of ultra-wealthy corporatists or get equal time in one of the many right wing money-losing print publications (Republican Messiah Moon’s money-losing Washington Times, Murdoch’s money-losing New York Post, or Scaife’s money-losing print publications?
Of course not, the usual right wing suspects only believe the right wing should be overwhelmingly heard in main stream venues.
So right wingers are overwhelmingly heard on GE/CNBC/NBC/MSNBC, Disney/ABC, Viacom/CBS, PBS, and NPR but because an occasional, and I do mean occasional liberal voice is heard, right wingers scream ‘liberal bias.’
CONSERVATIVE BIAS is the overwhelming reality in the corporate media.
Not INTERVIEW the president, run a multi-hour special that is supposed to present unbiased news reporting regarding a fundamental change in how this country is run. And do it on the home turf of the chief cheerleader for that program.
1) Multi-hour? Where’d you get that?
2) You’re claiming bias before the program even airs? There’s some bias, allright, but I don’t think ABC is the problem.
3) Chief cheerleader? No, you mean the President.
4) Home turf? That would be the White House.
Sheesh. You people can get yourselves worked up about anything, can’t you?
holy toledo New Reference…you must be a journalist or a politician cause no normal human being can spew that much language without saying anything.
You constantly make assertions without backing them up with data. I definately understand how you feel, the problem is that the facts fly in the face of your feelings.
Turns out the winner of the argument is NOT the one who writes the longest screed.
Dr Pedro, good to see you back. Welcome to a New Era in American Politics. Expect a massive increase in injuries to the C1 vertebra as a result of all the head nodding for the next 4 years.
Homeless is now gone; Iraq concerns no one; the Deficit is less important than Anna Nicole Smith’s baby; there is no Terrorism.
