Question, joaquin: which one of these two leaders is more likely to modify his position in response to an Obama “beat-down” (read, gentle pressure), and which is more likely to be strengthened and further radicalized by it? Eight years of empty “beat-down” rhetoric from Bush & co. only gave fuel to the Ahmadinejads of the world. Five months of Obama and Ahmadinejad and the mullahs are resorting to patently bogus elections to cling to power over an increasingly empowered and west-friendly populace.
