Is the fact that there are Muslim working in the government supposed to be a shock to someone? Is there actually a reason to post this video, with Mr. Willis’ accompanying commentary, beyond mere rabble-rousing? Did I miss some Republican state legislator purposing that Muslims should be barred from government work due to their religion?

Is it OK for me to make any blanket statements about suicidal religious fundamentalist zealots? Because that particular group seems to be somewhat problematic. Of course, a sizable subset of this group is a key element of the Republican Base. That’s unfortunate.

There has never been a single act of violence against abortionists or abortion clinics that can tied directly to any involvement with Operation Rescue, but Oliver feels it is necessary to label them a “terrorist organization” because ONE MEMBER decided commit murder.

Actually, using Jaim and Oliver logic that says anybody who commits an act of terror and is associated with an organization or political ideology makes that entire organization or ideology or party, terrorists…….we can conclude using the same logic that we have terrorists working our government. After all, all of the attacks committed against the United States in the past 16 years save for Oklahoma City were committed by Muslims.

I have noticed great numbers of American Muslims speaking out forcefully against terrorism by thier coreligionists. And being extremely careful not to let any of thier charitable funds get into the wrong hands. They are generally most tolerant of the culture around them and would never think of imposing thier values on the general population.

Meanwhile, America does something really excellent: Muslims living here, according to surveys and not just PR films, consider themselves as American; the great nations of Europe, alas, cannot make a comparable claim.
