Jeb Bush and Mike Huckabee endorse Marc Rubio in Florida over Charlie Crist. The thing is, of course, that Crist is a popular governor and has made the cardinal sin of supporting President Obama’s stimulus plan – even though Crist endorsed McCain.

The key thing here is that Jeb wants the seat for himself when it’s up again, and won’t be able to beat Christ as an incumbent. He’d also probably have the Bush taint running this year. If it’s Rubio, he would lose to a dem, letting Jeb swoop in six years later as a popular former governor.
He’s gonna have the Bush taint for a lot longer than that.
And people have speculated that Jeb WASN’T running for president?
Wow, I mean I thought Rush and the like would turn on Crist, so Huck doesn’t shock me, but I honestly thought Jeb was smarter than this, seriously, Crist is one of the most popular Governors in the nation, this is basically political suicide.
Jaim- I object to your statement- Florida is currently being run by Charlie Crist, who for all of his faults isn’t dumb (not super bright or anything, but not dumb either- he’s no Rick Perry) obviously the GOP thinks it can get dumber.
