Another Shrimp On The Barbie
Tweet
Based on the comments on Free Republic and Hot Air, I guess Jon Huntsman – who President Obama picked to be our ambassador to China – is now another one of those Republicans who are to be kicked out of the party. Added to the list.

Huntsman and Lahood are considered race traitors on the right
Here’s a radical thought: perhaps Obama simply picked a highly-qualified individual for a very important position, and that individual looked beyond politics to see how he could best serve his nation.
I’ve long thought that a lot of Mormonism is one of the silliest religions around, but I’ve always found that individual Mormons — while annoying — to be among the most decent, honorable, and respectable people as individuals. (Harry Reid being a notable exception.) I suspect there is very little chance that Huntsman will “go native” and lose track of his loyalties. Seems like a good choice.
Now for a truly scary thought: is there a chance that “jr” actually believes his standard rote recitation of bullshit?

“Here’s a radical thought: perhaps Obama simply picked a highly-qualified individual for a very important position, and that individual looked beyond politics to see how he could best serve his nation.”
I think that’s exactly what Obama did.
Pity the GOP is incapable of looking at issues without a political lens in place.
I feel I should add that I do have some reservations about Huntsman’s qualifications to serve Obama. For one, I suspect he’s actually paid his taxes.
J.
And how is Harry Reid not a “decent, honorable, and respectable person,” oh Wise One?
Well, apart from his declaring the “surge” strategy in Iraq a failure before it began, there are his real estate deals, his ties to the mob through Vegas casinos, his involvement with Jack Abramoff, his son the lobbyist, daniel, there really isn’t much there.
J.
Be that as it may, it won’t stop bloggers like Oliver Willis from turning on Huntsman viciously and calling him the Worst Republican Nominee Ever in 2012. We saw what happened to McCain when he threatened The One.
…declaring the “surge strategy” in Iraq a failure before it began…”
When did he say this? I do remember him saying that the war in general was “lost,” but that was AFTER the surge had begun.
“…his real estate deals…”
So the guy has real estate deals. So what?
“…his ties to the mob through Vegas casinos…”
Any evidence for these “ties” or are you reduced to libel now?
“…his involvement for Jack Abramoff?”
This one, I’ll concede.
“…his son the lobbyist,…”
Yeah, his son’s a lobbyist. Again, so what?
“…turning on Huntsman viciously and calling him the Worst Republican Nominee Ever in 2012.”
That’s vicious?! Sounds like pretty standard stuff from an unabashedly ideological blogger and downright complimentary compared to some of the verbal swill directed against Obama spewing from the mouths and keyboards of rightists.
When did McCain really threaten Obama? Was it after Sarah Palin or Joe the Plumber?
