And for some reason, they can’t get to the ISS? I read that they got some scuff marks on the right wing after lift-off, but from what I’ve seen, they don’t seem to worried about it.

The mission is very risky so for the first time they’ve got a second shuttle ready to go. As seen in the movie Armageddon. Really.
