Steele never had a chance. He’s not a competent executive and had little to recommend him beyond the really lackluster field he competed against.

To them, I belive Steele was elevated because the Dems had a colored guy so “we need one of our own to show we’re not prejudiced”. So they took the guy who promised to dance and roll his eyes for them.

Yes, I have an extremely low opinion of Mr. Steele, as I do of most African-Americans who cozy up to people who ordinarily wouldn’t invite us into their homes.

CSS: I agree with Krugman on this one. Let them spiral into insignificance while we get real health care reform, EFCA passed, green energy, hell, a green economy, etc.
