Scarborough is one of those pundits (I use the word loosely) whose co-host and guest often make his show worthwhile. Otherwise lately he’s made me nostalgic for Imus. And why is the a.m. MSNBC show spectrum of guests middle-to-right wing rather than left-to-right? Howard Zinn, Amy Goodman, Noam Chomsky etc. could remind Scarborough just how far out of reasonable discourse he is.
I have a sick addiction to Morning Joe, but today was great. Tweety was on and he tore Scarborough’s torture argument to shred. I have been waiting for someone to turn the right wing torture argument back on them and Chris Matthews was masterful. Scarborough and Andy Card kept saying torturing kept us safe for 8 years and then Tweety pounced with the PDB pre 9-11. The truth is the intelligence agencies weren’t communicating with each other but they were still getting great intel in and Richard Clarke was running around with his hair on fire trying to get BushCo to take notice but they were too busy vacationing. We didn’t need waterboarding to get that intel on bin Ladin that said he was “determined to strike in the US” and we don’t need it now.

Hey, whoa there. On 6 August 2001, [Nominal] President George Bush, Jr. received the “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” PDB. You imply that he didn’t bother responding to even that conscience shaking memo. But that’s not true. Records clearly show that Mr. Bush went bass fishing that day.
matt 621: Works for you, Oliver. Why not anyone else?
Oh, that’s right… the double standard thing. Forgot. Sorry.
Putting aside for the moment whether OW has a double standard or not, it’s interesting that your objection isn’t to Scarborough doing the Weasel Dance. Instead we get the childish “Yea, but.. but.. well… you do it, too! So nyahh!”
Please grow up. Responsible, reasoned voices from the right would be so welcomed.

And why do they keep Buchanan around anyway? For the crazification 20%?

If anything I’m accused of sticking to my guns too long.

every once in a while i email joe and ask him about the dead intern in his office, he never answers.
Nothing quite beats the time Maddow sonned him so hard Scarborough pouted and bailed on the show.

Is there a Morning Oliver show on cable news that I missed?

He just doesn’t remember what he did with the body.
