I am thinking maybe you should turn the tables on him and ask him why he isn't so sure anymore about torture being wrong in any circumstance. By the way the right keeps throwing out Nancy Pelosi and she has already responded but few people ever take up for her. She said she was briefed not consulted and many people did voice disagreement but Bush wasn't interested in their opinion. The catch 22 was that it was a top secret briefing so there was no one they could confide in about their misgivings. Thats the perfect CYA situation because you know you can say what you want to about it but the people you told can never speak on it less they open themselves up to charges of working against national security.
