Oliver,

Nobody could be as stupid as Powerline on ANY SUBJECT.

We would have made fun of the teabaggers had they used the name for a sex act of any stripe, even if it didn't have a "gay" subtext, because laughing at stupidity never goes out of style, and you can do it no matter what your orientations. Rachel Maddow may be aware of the connotations of the word "teabagging," but it's not likely to be a practice she subscribes to, so there is obviously nothing more personal for her about it than the stupidity of the sponsors who chose that name.

Remember, Powerline holds the record for the most fatuous statement in the history of blogging with this eternal gem:

<i>"It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can't get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile."</i>

I dare anyone to top that for stupid. I double-dare you.
