Henke if you are reading this your post was weak sauce. You listed like 6 "polls" and the most responses on any particular one of them was less than 300 with most of them having less than 100 respondents and thats supposed to equate out to the Governor of one of our largest states calling for recession and 18 percent of more than 1000 respondents agreeing with him? Seriously? Sometimes its appropriate to acknowledge your own errors, and this is one of those times. That is if you want to be seen as credible in any way.

You essentially did suggest that they were scientific by comparing them to a Rasmussen poll. Its apples vs. oranges. And we didn't have any governors playing to a pro-secession base... because there wasn't one to speak of.

No, I didn't. I didn't suggest at all that the polls at Daily Kos were scientific, or that they represented the percentage of pro-secession sentiment among the larger community. I merely pointed out that there were a significant number of people in that community that did pro-secession venting right after 2004, too. The point is how people, regardless of party, vent their frustration.
