Texas Secession? The Idiot Percentage Holds Up

While 75% of Texans realize that secession, as discussed by their governor, is a nutty insane crazy idea… 18% of Texans don’t. So even at a state level the wingnut percentage remains more or less constant. We need help.

  1. Eric Sipple says:

And there’s that ubiquitous ~30% saying that they think Texas should have the right to secede if they wanted to.

  2. Buzz Killington says:

It’s just emotional hyperbole, people reacting to things they don’t like and feel they have no control over. Like Americans saying they want to see their own President charged with war crimes.

  3. ed says:

Finally. We may finally be rid of Texas. What took so long?

  4. Texas is staying part of the United States. Period.

But those 30% of Texans who don’t like America they are welcome to move to Mexico.

In fact, that 30% is encouraged to leave America as soon as possible.

  5. Ivy NYC says:

Those 30% might want to take a gander at Alaska…pleanty of room up there too.

  8. I'm a Hick says:

“To secede from the Union and set up another government would cause war. If you go to war with the United States, you will never conquer her, as she has the money and the men. If she does not whip you by guns, powder, and steel, she will starve you to death. It will take the flower of the country-the young men.”

  9. White Whale says:

    Ed,
Then I would be forced to move away from the ‘burbs of Atlanta? I have always wanted to live in Phoenix…

  10. Buzz Killington says:

Duros62, is that a default assumption that anybody who doesn’t like Obama’s policies is a racist? How did you get to that conclusion?

  11. Duros62 says:

No, Buzzy, it just seems like the underlying theme going on. Y’all are just too chickenshit to admit it.

  12. “ed” : “Can we at least be rid of Georgia?”

And miss Tiger Woods win another Masters?
