    Republicans. How cute.

And by cute I mean, how irrelevant.

  2. GLV says:

Were the Dems this pathetic when they were out of power? I honestly don’t remember it ever being this bad.

  3. I honestly don’t remember it ever being this bad.
The difference is that the way the Dems were pathetic was by caving in to Bush on almost everything – especially Iraq. But overall, you’re right. We were never this bad, and they’re less than 100 days in.

  4. Duros62 says:

Why was Glenn Beck talking to evil Captain Jean-Luc Picard?

  5. Boronx says:

God Forbid we create a legal structure to make it easier to go after pirates. Good thing we avoided that pitfall when dealing with the terrorists. Can you imagine if Bush had a created a framework to last centuries that ground the terrorists into the dirt instead of a piece of shit system that tortured innocent people, let terrorists free, and couldn’t last eight years?

  6. Repack Rider says:

Remember the nutwing claims that liberals were rooting for failure in Iraq?

    Dennis? JT? Bueller?

  7. Socraticsilence says:

A “magical solution to problems” funny how Democratic “magical” solutions (see: Obama vs. Pirates, Clinton vs. Serbia in regards to Kosovo) leave our enemies defeated and American’s alive- whereas Republican solutions leave the most powerful military in human history in disarray, Americans dead and our enemies in large part alive and/or resurgent- makes one wonder which side exactly is the one embracing “magical thinking.”

  8. Socraticsilence says:

The really crazy thing is how quickly they’ve lost it, I don’t remember them being this crazy, this quickly with Clinton- I mean they got there (only to retreat a bit when they saw the consequences of their rhetoric in OKC) but Obama’s only been in office like 80 days or so.

Raising wrong to an art form.

  10. Matt McD. says:

Notice it’s not enough for Glenn Beck to insult the Commander in Chief (during wartime, which I seem to remember is the worst thing anyone could ever do), he also denigrates the US Navy (and the FBI for good measure).

Way to support the troops and law enforcement.

  11. Quaker in a Basement says:

Wow. Krauthammer is looking especially haggard in that clip. Is he not well? (I mean in a physical sense. Emotionally, he hasn’t been well for a long while.)

  12. ed says:

    Huh.

U.S. President George W. Bush has been briefed about increasing attacks by Somali pirates off east Africa, and the United States is consulting with other U.N. Security Council members on ways to combat the threat, the White House said on Wednesday.

Calling it a “a very complicated issue,” White House spokeswoman Dana Perino gave no hint of what, if any, action the United States might take following the hijacking earlier this week of a Saudi supertanker with a $100 million oil cargo.

    Who could have predicted?

    Oh, and a reminder:
“Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the U.S.”

  13. Duros62 says:

It’s really not that complicated, Dana.

    Homina. Homina. Homina.

I think we have a huge problem in America. I used to think we were a stronger country because of the 2 party system.

We no longer have two parties in America.

We have right-wing “talking head” messengers…..and the toothless goobers who worship them.

On the other side.. we have the rest of America.

Message to Hannity, Limbaugh, O’Reilly, and the rest of you right-wing chicken-hawks: If you want to make the “life or death” decisions you lambasted Obama for NOT making…do us ALL a F’ing favor, and apply to work for the FBI, CIA or God forbid, run for office.

    Otherwise…STFU.

I am damned sick and tired of these people.

    Other than that…no strong feelings.
