Propping Up Fail

This piece does a good job expanding on the issue I wrote about earlier in the week. We on the left are forced to keep whacking on the right, because for as expired and tired as they are, the mainstream media keeps propping them up like they have actual things to say.

frankly I get truly upset looking at this gratuitous nazi photography . . . to tack onto the “conservative approach must first piss of dems or arouse the gun nut paranoid.”

Who is more occupied with the historical analysis of totalitarianism than leftist historical scholars . . .

but I guess if you can rile up the right wing and terrify politically active jews at the same time, why not?

  2. Sean D. Martin says:

[Bush's] loyalists are still routinely called upon by influential media to represent the “conservative” perspective—bestowing unwarranted legitimacy on them and guaranteeing an unsatisfying experience for viewers who might be interested in hearing an intelligent conservative perspective, not a mindless rehash of the slogans Mr. Bush spouted to increasingly ill effect over eight years.

But they are representative of the “conservative” perspective. A mindless rehash of slogans is all they’ve got.

Oh Media, why are you ever so Liberal?

  4. Not completely off topic, but Ed Schultz’s “Ed Show” has a web page up at MSNBC:

    http://ed.msnbc.com

Hopefully MSNBC will make podcasts of his show available soon as they have with Keith and Rachel:

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8132577/

And to preempt any conservative trolls, MSNBC also has Republican politician Joe Scarborough’s “Morning Joe” available for podcasting.

Anyone know if Republican Joe still gets three hours in the morning on MSNBC?

  5. Jaim says:

Josh Marshall has it right. DC is “wired” for a Republican supremacy that never happened.

  6. SwampTroll says:

    yeah Joe gets 3 hours

but as someone else said (can’t remember who)

“if a tree falls on Morning Joe, does anybody hear it?”

  7. jr says:

    “lies are balance”-media

  8. Thanks, SwampTroll.

Actually, Joe has been showing up on YouTube lately every time he says something stoopid, which is surprisingly often.

So apparently somebody is paying attention.
