Hey, yo mama, did you ever ask your Tutsi friend if they agreed with you that hateful demagoguery is not at all a problem (especially over the radio)? Was the Rwanda genocide just a bunch of nuts who would have acted no mater what? (Are all men islands?) How about in, say, Iraq or Afghanistan or Pakistan? Is any and all fundamentalist Muslim demagoguery a non-issue over there too?

And yes Crusty Dem, a non sequitur was appropriate because when you realize the people you are dealing with either can’t comprehend a simple point, or worse, can and pretend they can’t, it really isn’t worth bothering to try to explain any further. But what the hell…..one more time……I’ll try to appeal to those that are intellectually honest, rational and fair…

Basically, in a nutshell, many of you think it’s Beck’s fault (or something like that :-{) that this loon flipped out, or at least pretend to believe that is the case, in order to enable yourselves to disingenuously paint conservatives in general with a broad brush. Not the first time it’s happened on either side of the aisle. But to the rest of us in the “real world,” well we just understand that the reason lone individuals go nuts like this is because first and foremost….well, they were nuts to begin with. McVeigh, Colin Ferguson, Rudolph – all nutso. That’s the common denominator between nearly all rampages like this. If you think about the tens of millions of listeners and viewers Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and BillO have, even if you do want to attribute the actions of this lone nut to them, honestly or dishonestly, that’s hardly reason to worry. It’s what – 1 out of about 50 million? And if you are worried, then I truly pity you, because you will live a life of fear due to the fact that there are several other demographics in this country that are much more likely to kill you than Glenn Beck listeners. Ironically, people on this blog are silent about certain other demographics and have called suspicion of them irrational, racist, choose whatever smear you like. Wonder why you don’t apply the same standards to um…..Hannity listeners that you do to MS-13. LOL! We all know the answer to that one though, and for the most part, this post was made public just to antagonize and take cheapshots, which I’ve noticed is pretty common on here. I’d say the vast majority are completely disingenuous in your “concern” over (gasp) Beck listeners. LOL! But never the less, it was successful in that way, because Instapundit did link to it.

This is the last time I will explain this to you folks here. If you can’t understand it, that’s your problem. To those that will use ridicule, you are intellectually bankrupt and I’m not directing this to you anyways. To those that have the character to admit they see my point, thank you.

Apparently Oliver Willis believes that if there are some on the far right who propagate conspiracy theories, then all Conservatives are responible when one disturbed individual commits mass murder.

Do we have to haul out the Venn diagrams and explain set theory all over again?

There is a small and increasingly noisy subset of people trafficking in apocalyptic conspiracy theories starring Mr. Obama in the role of Dr. Evil.

OW notes that this small subset exists entirely within the realm that we label “conservatism.”

It does not follow that OW has equated conspiracy hawking nutjobs with all conservatives.

That said, anyone promoting the crackpot ideas of people like Michelle Bachmann and Glenn Beck is helping to scare the sense out of troubled people like this week’s shooters. If you find the rantings of Bachmann and Beck helpful to your cause, then yes, you’re part of the problem.
