I grew up reading comics like “Spider-Man” with that wonderful catchphrase: “With great power comes great responsibility.”

I get the feeling Glenn Beck read comics like “Syphons” which were sold using the catchphrase: “Responsibility sucks.”

  2. C.S.Strowbridge says:

I haven’t been on many flights, but I’ve never heard a flight attendant say that armed insurrection might be necessary.

A more accurate analogy would be if the flight attendant said, ‘One of your fellow passengers is a terrorist!’ and then in the ensuing panic, several passengers were killed. You could hold the flight attendant responsible in that case.

And by the way, Mr. Beck, Nazis were conservatives.

    • And by the way, Mr. Beck, Nazis were conservatives.
They always try to avoid this and blurt out that the Nazis were “National Socialists” and all it does is reveal their ignorance since one of the first things Hitler did was to purge the left.

I guess if you judge the world based on names and not actions it makes sense. But killing union leaders doesn’t make you a leftist.

Republicans don’t do facts, reality, or history. Especially history.

Good one guys. Conservatives = Nazis! You are definitely treading over new ground on this one.

    >Especially history.

This from the crowd that doesn’t see any problem with increasing the power of government. (As long as the people running it are the “correct” people.) Oh the painful irony.

you forgot math, they fucking suck at math.

You are a fucking retard. I wasn’t calling all conservatives Nazis. I was stating the fact that the Nazi party was conservative.

If you can’t understand that, then shut up. Just fucking shut up.

You are illiterate and should no speak in public. Learn to read, get educated, and stop making a fool of yourself in public.

Because your way worked out so well these past 8 years. Wait, what?

Haplo9 writes “This from the crowd that doesn’t see any problem with increasing the power of government.”

Excuse me? Just what do you think Bush and Cheney were doing to the Constitution from 2001-2009? Wiretaps of citizens? Indefinite detention of citizens? Please, you’re just another IOKIYAR hypocrite.

Next you’ll tell me Republicans want smaller government, even though it grew bigger than ever under a Republican president and Congress.

You guys are such a joke.

That said, please try reading some books some time. Hitler rose to power as a staunch right-winger and anti-Communist.

You’re welcome to your laughably fucktarded opinion. But you don’t get to make up your own facts, sparky. Fascism and liberalism, as understood by adult thinkers, are opposite poles of the political spectrum.

UN-friggin-believable. You Republican so-called “conservatives” cheered on (no, DEMANDED) the greatest expansion of executive power and federal spending since before I was born, and you STILL act like ANYTHING the Democrats do is some McCarthy-era communist plot.

The hyprocrisy of Republicans on the “small government” issue is astounding.

God DAMN, Glenn Beck is an idiot. And he speaks like his viewers are idiots as well. If I was a fan, I’d be insulted by his tone and his constant “scare quotes.”

If I recall correctly, Jon Stewart explanation for why George Bush explained everything like he was talking to a 6-year old was because that’s how people explain it to him.

I think it might be the same with Glenn Beck.

Oh, do you mean Department of Homeland Security? Or FEMA? Or Justice?

Ya. Irony. That’s what it is.

  15. Crusty Dem says:

I love Beck saying “blaming (me) is like blaming a flight attendant after a terrorist takes down a plane”. Well, Beck might not criticize the flight attendant, but he sure would hate her family.
