Also, unregardless of what was said or what people in hindsight say they didn’t say was said, we can all agree that George Bush, Jr., unlike his immediate predecessor and successor, is an ignorant and incurious buffoon, and that it’s not only plausible, but highly unlikely that he knew what “G20″ meant.

But assuming you are right, then a retraction is in order from OW, and I will be the first to apologize for saying that Mr. Bush couldn’t count to 20 with his shoes on. It’s not like there is a shortage of Bush stupidity to exploit. He’s still the guy who thought the Prime Minister of Germany deserved a back rub at the conference, even though she hadn’t asked for one, and talked shit with Tony Blair with his mouth full of PBJ, both caught on tape and indisputable.

If a retraction is in order, it would not change the fact that the leaders at last year’s G20 pointedly avoided shaking hands with Mr. Bush, and did their best not to be photographed with him, while this year they can’t get close enough to Mr. Obama or pose for enough photos. What does that tell us?
