hannity like you always said either your with amer. or against us why dont you get out

  2. fafaroo says:

And what did the queen give Obama?

President Obama gave Queen Elizabeth an iPod during their private meeting at Buckingham Palace, the BBC reports. “It contains footage of her state visit to the US in May 2007. The Queen has given the president a silver framed photograph of herself and her husband. The official picture is what she gives all visiting dignitaries.”

What a self-centered, unthinking gift! Just who does this “Queen” of England think she is?

  3. Jaim says:

Did Obama try to massage her shoulders?

  4. mambochicken23 says:

Is it weird that anytime I see Sean Hannity’s mug on TV I just want to punch him in the face?

  5. Parthenon says:

Hannity is such a shameless piece of shit. I’m w/ Mambo.

  6. Amelia says:

    The crawl spelled iPod wrong.

  7. Max Udargo says:

Look at it this way: if all they’ve got is complaints about teleprompters and gifts to foreign dignitaries, then they don’t got much at all.

It’s called flailing. Desperate flailing. You see people do it when their parachutes don’t open. It means things are not going their way.

  8. tom says:

These gifts provoked outrage. Yup. I sure am outraged. I feel a seething anger boiling in my gut because Obama gave an iPod to the Queen. It’s not like I have my own problems to worry about.

  9. C.S.Strowbridge says:

mambochicken23: “Is it weird that anytime I see Sean Hannity’s mug on TV I just want to punch him in the face?”

I’m sure Hannity feels the same way when he sees his own face on TV.

  10. baquan2000 says:

they are trying to call out the President, for giving a gift to the queen – that she requested!!!!!??????

God, those pundits are so freakin’ lame!

But when Bush, was jackin’ up foreign relations and stumbling over his words – they couldn’t find a thing to say!

Once again, you put a brotha in place and people have to crossover everything until they actually do find something!

  11. Tyro says:

Even our resident trolls don’t want to touch this one! When they’re too embarrassed to “go there”, I declare this talking point to be officially “failed.”

  12. Bruce says:

I don’t get the wingnuttia. Really.

Britain is our strongest ally, more loyal as an ally than Canada, stronger than any other NATO member. iPods are an American product, the product of American genius. The Queen did an American company a big favor by requesting this gift, in tough economic times, and honored the best in our country.

As for the silver frame, it’s probably the safest thing for her to give – it’s neutral, does not have general economic value (for countries where accepting cash-value gifts is problematic) and does not undercut her Prime Minister’s diplomatic efforts elsewhere.

General rule: it’s a gut check time when Hannity STOPS bitching.

  13. sabrina says:

Saw your interaction on Twitter with Jake Tapper on this. Have to say it was quite entertaining and frustrating at the same time. You were intelligent and calm. He is completely incapable of taking criticism and having a discussion. He does realize Twitter is a public forum right? That you’re inviting comment from everyone when you post something. I’ve never seen anyone so unable to take criticism. And we’re not talking personal attacks here either. I just made a tongue-in-cheek comment about his use of the word “w00t” and he sent me a nasty DM.

  14. joaquin says:

It wasn’t just an iPod, but a Chinese iPod. ;-)
Seriously, he sure could have come-up with something better. Something more creative.
How about a case of 12 different Kentucky Bourbons. It’s a known fact that the Queen likes to knock back a few and is especially fond of good bourbon.

As far as the silver framed picture, that’s standard protocol.

  15. Tyro says:

How about a case of 12 different Kentucky Bourbons.

I believe the royals are heavy gin-drinkers.

And, joaquin, your second sentence has been rendered inoperative by the facts encapsulated in the post. Not that fact have ever stopped a right-winger, of course, but I feel that little right-wing twerps like you need to be reminded of how terribly, terribly stupid you all are.

  16. The iPod was loaded up with footage of the Queen’s 2007 visit to America.

It’s shameful that Fox News can find the time to worry about stuff like this —

they really need to AIM HIGHER.

  17. joaquin says:

Rule #1 in gift-giving: Give something that person wants, but would never buy for themselves.
I’m still trying to find where the Queen actually ‘asked’ for an iPod.
Maybe jolly ol’Tyro can help me out.

  18. PD100 says:

    joaquin = iTard

  19. Jack J. says:

The gifts between heads of state are symbolic only, not practical.

And joaquin, you are well beyond any help we can give you.

  20. Duros62 says:

The gifts between heads of state are symbolic only, not practical.

Seriously. It’s not like he’s handing out Target gift cards or anything.

And might I just point out this little nugget from Jonah Pantload:

U.S. President Barack Obama had, once again, fumbled a routine protocal of international statecraft:

If you’re going to act all superior, check your spelling.

  21. joaquin says:

‘The gifts between heads of state are symbolic only, not practical’

Yes sir! There sure is something tremendously symbolic about a Chinese iPod.

  22. ed says:

Beck’s recent success getting attention with extra special Krazee has really upped the ante for the rest of the reactionary dipshit Fox talking heads. Should be interesting, if scary, to see how this ends.

  23. PD100 says:

Yes sir! There sure is something tremendously symbolic about a Chinese iPod.

For those whose central theme is the Tea Party, any indigance over how Americans behave towards royalty sure looks like retard kabucki.

  24. David says:

I can’t help but wonder if Bush would of done this (because he’s so stupid, after-all) this post would of read “Bush gives Obama an “Ipod” How stupid is that?”.

Pathetic liberals. It’s so easy to see through your rhetoric. Enjoy trashing our country for 4 years. You won’t have 8 to topple it.

Oh and by the way, we are having a “tea” party in your town. Hope you come.

  25. David says:

Or rather “Bush gives Queen Ipod”. Sorry, Obama is on the mind. Mainly because I can’t stop thinking how stupid he is. Yep.

  26. joaquin says:

“Queen Elizabeth asked for it, and the royals loved it”

Oliver, I’m still looking to see where what you posted is actually true. We can’t find it. Help me out.

  27. C.S.Strowbridge says:

joaquin: “Oliver, I’m still looking to see where what you posted is actually true. We can’t find it. Help me out.”

Turns out, she already had one…

    news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_4100000/newsid_4104900/4104922.stm

The one Obama gave her, which was only part of his gift, was personalized and included footage of her recent trip to the United States.

  28. Duros62 says:

Oliver, I’m still looking to see where what you posted is actually true. We can’t find it. Help me out.

    We? Your mom’s home early?

  29. Jaim says:

The iPod was pre-loaded with pics from the Queen’s visit to America. In effect, Obama was giving her a photo album that just happened to use the technology of the iPod. A unique gift that the queen could never have purchased herself.

But ya gotta love wing-nuts like Joaquin. Even when he admits his talking-point is shot down, he still sticks to it.

  30. Max Udargo says:

Joaquin has a point. At this rate, Obama’s going to totally deplete the international good-will the Bush administration built up in its 8 years in office.

  31. Randy Brown says:

    David:
Oh and by the way, we are having a “tea” party in your town. Hope you come.

We’ll be there. In far, FAR greater numbers than you morons could hope to muster.

    Joaquin:
How in the wide world of FUCK do you know it’s a Chinese iPod? Cite, asshole.

  32. Jaim says:

    What’s a Chinese iPod?

  33. C.S.Strowbridge says:

Max Udargo: “Joaquin has a point. At this rate, Obama’s going to totally deplete the international good-will the Bush administration built up in its 8 years in office.”

    Nice one!
