Yoo Hoo! Bear Down Chicago Bears!
This is a win win trade – the Bears get a great QB and the Broncos get draft picks that will help them to convert to the 3-4 defense.
And for those of you that think the Bears gave too much I disagree – first rounders are over priced and over rated, just look at how many great players were selected in the later rounds. The NFL needs a rookie price cap.

Has there actually been any evidence that the Redskins were persuing Cutler? Both Cerato and Zorn said publically that Campbell was their QB, and the only thinks linking the Redskins to Cutler was the ever present “my anonymous source says”. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the Redskins speculation was “Durr, Snyder likes to spend and Campbell was average last year, so he’s going to go get him!”

In order for that deal to get done quickly, it had to be a no-brainer for Denver and that’s what it was. Chicago finally has a proven QB but as I previously said, it was going to cost. If several teams would have gotten in a bidding war this thing would have been a zoo. Chicago did what they had to do to get him. GO ALL IN!
I think Cutler would have done great in Wash, but he’ll do well in Chicago except for one thing……………..THE BEARS HAVE NO RECEIVERS!
I’m a bit surprised about the comments regarding Campbell being ‘dissed’ NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. At the onset of the Skins talking to Denver, Zorn and Campbell met/talked almost daily and Campbell was in the loop. Which is a whole lot different than what went down in Denver with Cutler and McDaniels. Campbell talked to the press yesterday and said that it’s a business and that he has no hard feelings because he was in the loop. Campbell is handling this like a man and so is Zorn and the Skins org.

Unless you’re a Bears fan, you won’t understand. For the first time in my life, I can go into a season saying “our quarterback doesn’t suck.” In fact, he’s above average. We picked up Pace also, which could sure up one side of the line, and we’ve got an excellent running back. There’s a bit to be desired at receiver, and the defense needs a bit of help, but at least when we go 9-7 this year, it won’t be because we’d be better off snapping the ball to Matt Forte of Devin Hester. LOL! Seriously, I hope Cutler plays well. I’m excited. We may have a decent offense. Go Bears!

I am actually cool that Chicago got a good QB, but giving up THAT much for him? That must be wrong. Chicago has no real recievers aside from thier tight ends and giving up thier immediate future for this guy is a bit much. When you are a Bears and Saints fan(Redskins gotta nothing on the hurt involved with being a fan of these organizations) you come to expect these perplexing decisions.

Well with Campbell itll go one of two ways:

1. His confidence cracked, he’ll suck all season and go somewhere else and be a probowler
2. He’ll play great, take Skins into playoffs then go somewhere else and be a probowler

Definitely a better fit than DC, maybe Denver fans will remember Cutler a bit more fondly after a couple Orton/Simms led 3-13 campaigns, but I doubt it. Broncos progress checklist:
1) Fire best coach in franchise history •
2) Dump young franchise QB, replace with limp-armed, spleenless veteran and 2nd rate perennial backup. •
3) Success?

This is bad for the ‘Skins. It’s another Daniel Snyder debacle.

By going after Cutler, Snyder was telling Jason Campbell they had no faith in him–despite the fact Campbell’s numbers are remarkably similar to Cutler’s. If I were Campbell, I’d be telling my agent to start entertaining offers.

Second, why on earth would you bring in a head case like Cutler? He hasn’t done all that much. Sure, he has the rocket arm–but so did Jeff George.
