Dennis: there are a lot of people that don’t have the first clue about the guy but think they do because of the snippets they see on tv or on a blog or what they’ve heard someone else say about him.

I've listened to him, Dense. Mostly for the LOLs. He provides a good outlet for my road rage much of the time.

Is it just impossible for you to believe that people could disagree with Limbaugh? Sean D.

Honestly, I believe you do. But I also believe that what this guys says is largely true; that there are a lot of people that don't have the first clue about the guy but think they do because of the snippets they see on tv or on a blog or what they've heard someone else say about him.

Dennis: You really need to Take the Limbaugh Challenge.

Liberals who hate Rush Limbaugh — why don’t you actually listen to his show before bashing him?
–by Andrew Klavan

Which part of "Could well be more folks are listening because they now think Rush is the GOP leader and they come away (as I have) thinking “This is what Repubs they are following? Ye gods!”" did you not understand?

I have been listening to Limbaugh. Admittedly not to all of his multi-hour program. But I've been listening to swaths of it. I have listened and seen him comment many times over the years. My opinion of him is formed not on what others have told me but on what I've heard myself.

Is it just impossible for you to believe that people could disagree with Limbaugh? That anyone who does just clearly hasn't ever listened to the man for themselves, 'cause if they did they'd see how right he is? Sorry, Dennis. Reality just doesn't work that way.

So, has Fox News screamed about this stupidly close close-up without make-up the way they did about VP candidate Sandra Palin's?

This has been another edition of easy answerable rhetorical questions.

Dennis: Here’s another candid assessment from one of the Suddenly Disillusioned, Earl Ofari Hutchinson.

So Limbaugh's ratings have risen during the time Dems are pushing the idea that Limbaugh is the voice of the Republican party and it's actual leader. Yeah, so?

Listening doesn't equal believing or following. Could well be more folks are listening because they now think Rush is the GOP leader and they come away (as I have) thinking "This is what Repubs they are following? Ye gods!"

When so many on the Left said they would be just as tough on Democrats as they were on Republicans, I guess it is a bit encouraging to see that perhaps one or two were being somewhat honest, even if it is so far merely token resistance.

I think the difference here is that Krugman is unfettered by political considerations and can simply state what he believes would be the best plan, while the President has to propose things that will fly w/ the con democrats and to a lesser degree the repubs.

worth noting too that the only substantive criticism of the administration seems to be coming from the left.
