The Public On AIG Bonus Tax
Tweet
So this is kind of interesting. Rasmussen has been pushing a lot of polling in a GOP-friendly way. And the right, especially in the blogosphere, has been clutching their pearls over the AIG bonus tax because it means the evil Democrats are going to tax their babies or something. So, this Rasmussen poll showing 57% approval of the AIG tax is a bit of a sticky wicket.
The right seems trapped in this death spiral with the dead-ender 20-percenters, the Palin loving, Obama birthers, who think that he’s a secret Muslim terrorist socialist something. TEA PARTY!

I don’t agree with the tax.
Just throwin’ that out there.
Right wing logic: It’s “mob rule” to be against AIG bonuses but it’s not “mob rule” to have a tea party

I’m sort of conflicted on it, myself. I think the higher-ups understand that the symbolism here – kicking back while the government’s manning the bilge buckets – is more important than the actual dollar amount.
The thing is they need to be in jail not the target of a government using the tax code (Improperly if you ask me) to get justice.
But that’s just my opinion.
In jail, becoming a burden on our taxes you mean, in an already overcrowded system- or maybe we can open the immigrant camps for Corporate debt-mongers!
I agree with johnnymags. That isn’t feasible either. We already imprison more people than any other country. We shouldn’t get in the habit of jailing people who were doing what was expected of them, no matter how reprehensible it may seem to the rest of us.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we made a change from the Bush administration and favored rule of law?
Could we please?
You can’t just take people’s money or jail them because you don’t like them.
