Rush Runs The Right: Jim Tedisco Edition

First, Tedisco, the Republican candidate in NY-20, said Rush Limbaugh was “meaningless” to him.

Then he realized the grave injustice he had done to the leader of the Republican party, bent down, and groveled to the right’s leader.

Pathetic.

What sort of dirt does this Svengali have on the GOP, anyway?

    How does he do that?

  2. Parthenon says:

    Another one. Huh.

Can anyone honestly claim surprise at this point?

  3. How does he do that?

If this costs another Republican dipshit a House seat, I will smile.

  5. ed says:

Has there ever been a lamer meme than the one the right wing douches are trying to establish about Obama as the Teleprompter President? Especially in the wake of the malaprop disaster, Commander Bunnypants?

    Worst.
    Ginned-up meme.
    Ever.

    Yes. “Commander Bunnypants”.

    You’re welcome.

If the economy collapses and costs Democrats a majority in Congress in 2010 and the White House in 2012 I can assure you I WON’T be smiling.

But I guess that’s what separates me from partisan douchebags like yourself.

  8. Quaker in a Basement says:

Dave, are you even capable of posting on topic?

  9. ed says:

Me wanting a Republican dipshit to fail because he’s another Dittohead suckup = Republican wanting the economy to collapse to cost Democrats political power.

    Equivalence!

But I guess that’s what separates me from partisan douchebags like yourself.

Tell us more about how much of a mensch you are, menschy.

Oh, and thanks for your service…in the Culture War.

  10. If the economy collapses
The Republican president already did that. And look, if you want to post long-ass excerpts unrelated to the task at hand, get your own blog. Its free!

You don’t get out much, do you?

Dave in SoCal says: “If the economy collapses…”

If? It already happened, and the American people blame the Republicans.

“But I guess that’s what separates me from partisan douchebags like yourself.”

On the one hand, we are talking about a Republican grovelling to a heinous right-wing radio talk show host that is despised by most Americans.

On the other hand, you are talking about the state of the national and global economy collapsing.

Those are not even close to being equal.

    And you call us partisan?

  14. Jaim says:

    “How high, Great Comrade Rushbo?”

  15. daniel rotter says:

“…that is despised by most Americans.”

Unfortunately, that is probably not true (emphasis on the word “unfortunately”).

Lardass has only about 20 million listeners ever week, and there are vastly more adults than that in the US. Remember, 70 million voted for Obama last year, and over 60 million chose McCain.

Limpballs has a hardcore, intellectually-stunted cult following, and nothing more.

BTW, “Uncle” Thomas Sowell’s latest column continues the compulsory GOP fellation of His Nibs…

Who are, I would surmise, the same people who yell “Get a job!” at random liberals. So either they don’t have one themselves, which makes them hypocrites, or they’re making these phone calls on company time.

  18. Duros62 says:

Limpballs has a hardcore, intellectually-stunted cult following, and nothing more.

Roughly the same amount of listeners who still lurve them some W.

He is? That last poll showed something like 19% approval, with 40% disapproval and 41% who have never heard of him (as I have pointed out on numerous occasions that there are people who live their lives outside of the political spectrum and don’t know who the hell most talk radio hosts are). So it would seem that “most” Americans either like the guy or don’t know who he is.

BTW, “Uncle” Thomas Sowell’s latest column continues the compulsory GOP fellation of His Nibs…

I always get the warm and fuzzies when certain liberals take advantage of using such slurs simply because they’re black. You’re projecting Randy. Stop with the self-loathing.

  20. ed says:

So it would seem that “most” Americans either like the guy or don’t know who he is.

Could be. At least we can all agree that Mr. Limbaugh is truly heinous person: a racist, sexist, extreme asshole. Well, he is.

  21. C.S.Strowbridge says:

Me: “On the one hand, we are talking about a Republican grovelling to a heinous right-wing radio talk show host that is despised by most Americans.”

Jay Caruso says: “He is? That last poll showed something like 19% approval, with 40% disapproval and 41% who have never heard of him…”

That’s not what the last poll I saw said. His ‘No Opinon’ number was barely more than his approval number. His Net disapproval number was close to 40%.

Couldn’t find that one, but I did find this…

    mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/63758.html

The poll found 30 percent of Americans with favorable opinions of Limbaugh, and 46 percent with unfavorable opinions. A solid 33 percent of all Americans have “very unfavorable” opinions of the talk show host.

    33%, a plurality, despise Rush.

“So it would seem that ‘most’ Americans either like the guy or don’t know who he is.”

Even if your numbers are correct, that would not be an accurate statement. Knowing the guy is a binary choice, so for ‘most’ to be accurate, it would have to be above 50%. Additionally, the actual response is not ‘Don’t know him’ it is ‘No Opinion / Not sure’. This includes people that don’t know who Rush is, but it is not entirely composed of those people.

  22. C.S.Strowbridge says:

    On a side note…

    gallup.com/poll/114163/Limbaugh-Liked-Not-Republicans.aspx

Look at the increase in “Never Heard Of / No Opinion”. And that’s just in five or six years.

These events are should help Rush get back on top, but they are not helping the Republicans, that’s for sure.

  23. Sean D. Martin says:

Jay: So it would seem that “most” Americans either like the guy or don’t know who he is.

    Remember, that was:
    19% approval
    40% disapproval
    41% never heard of

With those numbers you have no problem starting a sentence with “Most of the people like the guy or…”?

  24. B.BarNavi says:

For pointing out Sowell as self-loathing (which he may or may not be – that’s not for a non-black like me to decide), it is RANDY that is the self-hating one? It’s not as if he used the N-word (which, as you know, blacks are allowed to use.)

  25. Randy Brown says:

B.BarNavi, I don’t know if we’re “allowed” to use the N-word. We SHOULDN’T use the damn word to anywhere near the extent that we do.
