I don't know H-Bob. I'm not a Cutler fan, but the guy is a pretty good QB. Good enough to make the ProBowl.
In today's NFL, a good QB is awful hard to find and while I don't believe in coddling, I think McD handled the situation wrong.
First off, McD is a first year HC. Yeah, he comes from the Pats, but so did Crennel.
If I'm a first year HC, the last thing I want is QB controversy especially when there doesn't need to be one. McD never even met with Cutler! They had a conference call! Dude, how does that happen??
McD should have met with Cutler and talked man to man and figured things out. Hell, they probably should have had a couple of beers!
I don't blame Cutler for being pissed when he found out he was being shopped because McD wanted Cassel. I would be!
Now they are in a mess. Cassel is gone. Cutler wants out, and now McD has to find a QB. GOOD LUCK!

Cutler threw a 3-week hissy fit and asked to be traded because McDaniels discussed potentially trading Cutler. While the proposed trade of Cutler for Cassell would have been idiotic, it doesn't warrant this soap opera. If Cutler had just blown off some steam, that would have been tolerable -- instead, he's been sulking and looking for pretexts to justify his continued whining. McDaniels might have started this tiff (and has apologized) but Cutler has escalated this spat. He's a "Jeff George" --- great skills, not a winner and poisons the organization.

Oliver, you seem to 'know' football. What do you make of the Cutler situation in Denver?
Everyone is blaming Cutler, but I gotta tell you, I'm placing a lot of the blame on McDaniels.
Would love to hear your take.
