NBC Goes On Cramer Lockdown

They seem to not understand that they no longer control all of the vertical.

A TVNewser tipster tells us MSNBC producers were asked not to incorporate the Jim Cramer/Jon Stewart interview into their shows today. In fact, the only time it came up on MSNBC was during the White House briefing, when a member of the press corps asked Press Secretary Robert Gibbs if Pres. Obama watched. Gibbs wasn’t sure if the president had, but Gibbs did. “I enjoyed it thoroughly,” the Press Secretary said.

They’re following the Republican way…if you don’t like it, pretend it didn’t happen.

Tony Rezko? I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Bill Ayers? Never heard of him.

    Jeremiah…Wright, you say? Who’s that?

Rod Blagojevich? Doesn’t ring a bell.

George Obama? Can’t say I’m familiar with that name…

    Zeituni…Zeituni… sorry, drawing a blank…

Completely Republican phenomenon. Absolutely. No doubt whatsoever.

  3. Yeah, the media never covered Jeremiah Wright, thats why Obama had to make a major speech about it. He just spontaneously did so and it wasn’t prompted by wall to wall coverage of Wright’s rants. No sireee.

Death of a Straw Man by Oliver Willis

    Bravo! Bravo!!

    Encore! Encore!!

I’m sure we won’t have to wait long for the next performance. 5 nights a week, Tuesdays off and twice on Sundays.

You’re demonstrating another essentially Republican trait: Say things that simply aren’t true as if they were facts.

Oliver’s already commented about Wright. Ayers, as another example, never had any substantial relationship with Obama. Controversy about him wasn’t ignored because it was embarrassing, it was dismissed because it was irrelevant.

  6. Scott Ricketts says:

And nice way to change the subject as well, another great Republican trick. When things aren’t going your way, switch the topic to something you can talk about.

And still not have a clue.

To be fair, Rachel Maddow did mention the segment without airing any of it.

Shorter matt621: My party is fucked, so let me grab last year’s talking points since I’ve got nothing else.

    Reading Comprehension for Liberals.

You could fund a new university with just the tuition from this class.

I could explain the joke but it would be just as effective as telling you to look in the mirror.

I like matt621, his emotional handicaps make me laugh.

I just pity the person that has to change his diaper!

While I enjoy watching Cramer every night, one must remember the show is primarily entertainment. The financial networks exist to promote their advertisers financial and investment products. Who would expect them to warn about the credit bubble or coming Washington national debt collapse which will destroy much of the remaining private wealth in America today or what this will do to the dollar, the stock market, bonds, gold or the real estate market?

China is now worried about their dangerous over investment in US Treasury obligations. Washington ’s long-term choice is either repudiation or monetization. For monetization to be effective, the depreciation in the dollar would have to be substantial and this in turn would dramatically raise prices of imports for American consumers which would mean a tremendous drop in foreign imports. Debt monetization would cause more disruption to exporting nations than selective repudiation of Treasury debt.

The Campaign to Cancel the Washington National Debt By 12/22/2013 Constitutional Amendment is starting now in the U.S. See: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=67594690498&ref=ts
