He said it twice.

Given the rhyming nature of the words I'm not surprised they could be transposed, especially when the transposition is a common phrase. Nor am I surprised that once said the wrong wording would happen again when repeated within a fraction of a second.

I'd just hope that, given the number of misspeaks by Obama and particularly Biden, that folks who largely objected to those being given more significance than they deserved would not stoop to making even a small deal out of an irrelevant gaffe by Steele. Certainly there are enough other reasons of actual significance to criticize him that we needn't resort to this kindergarten crap.

He said it twice. He is truly the gift that keeps on giving. How much longer can this possibly last?

Yeah, but claiming a love of hip-hop and then saying P. Diddy is your favorite? That's hella lame. Kind of like saying "I love rock, ya know, Nickelback and the Jonas Brothers."

Republicans are just a non-stop laff riot these days.

To be fair, spoonerisms can happen to anyone. You want to pick on him for this and prepare yourself to start hearing about "57 states" again.
