Strowbridge, wtf is up with your posts? Has some prankster reprogrammed your apostrophe on the keyboard?
I used to nurse (children as it happens). All of the women I worked with hated the sexy nurse image because it was seen as a licence to grope and humiliate women in that setting. I didn’t say it was as bad as the melon image, but remember that any stereotype is a bad idea.
Before I trained, I remember one guy on a ward who would deliberately pull off his conveen (condom with a hole at the end attached to a bag for nighttime incontents), when there were any of the huge number of quite stunningly beautiful student nurses of Indian subcontinental (ha!) heritage. Then me and the male trained nurse dealt with this, and it stopped happening! Miracle!
I always found the nurses who were the most disired rarely wore any makeup and had a gift for nursing. The ‘gorgeous’ ones usually messed stuff up and were not very nice on a personal level. A bit like the “Shallow Hal” nurse.

The business community, and in particular the auto industry, should be lauding this move towards universal health care. The small business community should also fight for it- a principal reason that many people (raising hand) don’t start small businesses is because we need health coverage. I also can’t join a small company as an employee because many don’t offer affordable health care options. Universal health care would free business from the burden of providing health care and level the playing field for small businesses.

1.) Showing a picture of a sexy woman isn’t sexist. Watermelons on the White House lawn was clearly racist.

“But…but…but the United States is #1 in the world! The fact that we don’t have socialsisized medicines is further proof we’re the greatest!”
