    Ruff..

    HAWT!

  2. Duros62 says:

Nice to finally have a first lady with light behind her eyes.

  3. JoyceH says:

Something I can’t believe I didn’t notice till a fashionista pointed it out is Michelle’s fondness for sleeveless dresses. It looks fine on her, as fit as she is, but I rather hope it doesn’t catch on – there are SO many women who shouldn’t go sleeveless. Like, um – me.

New fashion rule – you can adopt Michelle’s style if you also adopt Michelle’s workout schedule.

  4. Viceroy Matt says:

    She’s no Mamie Eisenhower.

I mean that in a good way.

  5. jr says:

    Radiant as always

  6. Dianne says:

She looks beautiful, and more importantly truly happy. I don’t think we’ve seen that happiness in a First Lady in a while.

  7. Luv says:

My Amazon Queen. er, I mean, Madame First Lady.

  8. gruntled atheist says:

    WOW!!

  9. Jack J. says:

Nice! Finally beauty AND brains in the White House.

  10. Southern Quaker says:

    And he’s not bad, either.

    Where’s Vera Baker?

  12. anotherbozo says:

What’s with this “official portrait” crap, BTW? I got 40 favorite pix of her ‘n’ him already. Who needs “official?” Just asking.

  13. isonprize says:

Only “official” because it’s the one that is issued by the White House. Like the “official” portrait of President Obama, as Commander in Chief of all US military, hangs in every military base around the world (and believe there are some military saltines who ain’t too happy about that…)

  14. Felix Helix says:

    Ain’t no doubt she’s a beautiful lady.

On the other hand, the second time I came here and looked at this picture, I did a double-take: the dark blue curtain centered behind her head looked, for just a moment, like a sky-high mohawk.

Which would be cool too, in its own way.

  15. Todd Dugdale says:

I don’t think she looks like Stokely Carmichael at all.

  16. metricpenny says:

Yowza! The standard for beauty in this country is due for a change. And the First Lady represents it.

  17. rikyrah says:

Folks pointed this out, or I wouldn’t have noticed. Look who is in the background – Jefferson. Deliberate or accidental?

    LOL

Here we go . . . cue up your internet stories about soldiers not saluting . . . blah, blah, blah . . . we heard this same shit when Clinton was in office.

There were probably far more military “saltines” who loathed walking by Bush’s picture after his numbskull decisions led to extended and forced tours not to mention sending them into battle without armor while cutting VA funding.

I heard about that. What a stupid thing to get hung up on.

  20. justadood says:

Something not seen for 2 generations: youth, beauty and brains in the WH. Probably the last were the Kennedys.

Oh, sure. But nobody ever brought up Laura’s penchant for mis-used upholstery and slip covers.

  22. Parthenon says:

Good lord, it must be hard being Barack Obama. Freakin’ Tom Brady of politics.

  23. Jay Tea says:

Nice to finally have a first lady with light behind her eyes.

Such a refreshing change from, say, the wife of the 42nd president?

Pre-election poll among military shows 68% McCain, 23% Obama: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/10/military_poll_100508w/

But to the actual topic at hand: there is a mischievous part of me that wants to Photoshop a little white on her upper lip. That portrait just screams “Got Milk?” poster.

Fixed that typo for ya. Don’t mention it.

  25. renee says:

she looks great everything she wears is very fashionable

  26. V says:

Folks should stop being envious & jealous. She’s beautiful, confident, has style, and is radiant. You wear it well. Congrats you look marvelous!!!!!!!!

    God Bless.
