Jaim, thanks for reminding me that you have freely admitted that you often “debate” by fantasizing about what your opponents say and think, and then castigate them over what they never said.

And the Bible and guns bit is in reference to Obama’s talking about rural people “clinging to guns and religion.” I understand why you forgot about that; it was back during the campaign, when Obama was making all kinds of promises that didn’t last even a month into his administration. That kind of short-term memory problem is probably a survival trait for Obama supporters.

I mean, sure, it’s more believable that Obama has a reluctant elf sitting on his shoulder than it is that Obama will tell Americans to “put down their Bibles” or that Obama, an Illinoisan, will be so disparaging of “those hicks in the Midwest.”

I guess “more ludicrous” could be “cuter.”
