Why in the heck would the Government accept plea with this guy. They have copies of his e-mails that directed the plant manager to ship the contaminated products. This guy is going to jail. In deed this may set a precedent considering we have a brand new president and some legislatures that want to make “Lincoln Like History”. We also just appointed a new Supreme court justice. I dont think the timing is too good for this guy……

Stewart Parnell is a mass murderer. I hope he is tried in a state with the death penalty. I think his board of directors and henchmen should be tried, too.
The Chinese sentenced the person responsible for milk contamination to death, already.
The FDA is too busy sipping martinis with lobbyists to have time to protect us. A death penalty for Parnell would send a clearer message to food producers than anything the FDA can or will do.

Gotta love people who condemn a man without knowing all the facts.

If you run a business, are you going to sit back and wait for your stocks to rot and happily go out of business, or are you going to urge those who control your fate to act quickly?

If you get a positive test for something, (false positives are real), are you going to throw out all your product or are you going to have it retested? If it is retested and comes back clean, are you going to throw out everything?

I don’t know all the facts either, but at least think about all sides.

I think we can learn from the Chinese court that sentenced two men to death for their roles in producing and selling infant formula tainted with melamine, a deadly chemical. The swift trial and the harsh sentences show Beijing’s determination in tackling the country’s food safety problems. Perhaps if we evoked severe penalties for intentional irresponsibility our food supply would be a lot safer.

Prosecutors should go for the death penalty for Stewart Parnell. Not too much difference here between this guy and the guy who put cyanide into the tylenol capsules 25 years ago.

I sincerely hope that the government will not be inclined to offer this guy a plea deal. What he has done is nothing short of domestic terrorism, and premeditated murder. The issue with the FDA not being there is a completely seperate problem. The FDA needs to be re-vamped and an investigation into their conduct is surely warranted, but I’m not sure what will ever happen over their action, or lack thereof.

I’m not so sure about that. Seems like felony murder charges would stick.
